Divergence Indicator Multi [TradingFinder] MACD AO RSI DIV Chart🔵 Introduction
🟣 What is Divergence in Financial Markets?
Divergence in technical analysis happens when the price of a stock moves in a direction opposite to certain indicators. This is a crucial concept in financial markets as it can signal either a trend reversal or a continuation of the current correction in the trend. Understanding divergence helps traders and analysts make more informed decisions.
🟣 Positive Regular Divergence (RD+)
A positive regular divergence occurs at the end of a downtrend, where two price lows form. This divergence appears when the price chart shows a new low, but the indicator does not follow, signaling potential buying opportunities.
Positive divergence indicates increased buying pressure and reduced selling pressure, making it a useful signal for forecasting price increases.
🟣 Negative Regular Divergence (RD-)
A negative regular divergence is seen during an uptrend when two price highs form. The price chart records a new high, but the indicator does not reflect this change, suggesting that a market downturn is likely.
This type of divergence shows strong selling pressure and weaker buying activity, which can help identify selling opportunities.
Both positive and negative divergences are powerful tools for identifying potential trend reversals and key support and resistance levels. For example, when an indicator trends upward while the price moves downward, this creates divergence, warning traders to reconsider their investment strategy.
🟣 Different Types of Divergence in Trading
1. Regular Divergence :
o Positive Regular Divergence (RD+)
o Negative Regular Divergence (RD-)
2. Hidden Divergence :
o Positive Hidden Divergence (HD+)
o Negative Hidden Divergence (HD-)
3.Time Divergence.
Note : This guide focuses specifically on Regular Divergence.
🟣 What is Regular Divergence?
Regular Divergence, often referred to as convergence, occurs when price action and indicators show conflicting patterns, usually signaling the end of a trend. Detecting regular divergence helps traders anticipate potential trend reversals or the formation of reversal patterns.
🔵 How to Use
To optimize the detection of divergence, you can adjust the Fractal Period to specify the length of time for identifying divergence patterns.
Additionally, with the Divergence Detection Method, you can select oscillators like the MACD, RSI, or AO to base divergence detection on.
Divergence in MACD :
MACD divergence occurs when the price chart forms an opposite pattern compared to the MACD line, indicating a potential price reversal.
Divergence in RSI :
In a downtrend, if the price chart forms two consecutive lows with the second lower than the first, but the RSI shows two lows with the second higher, this indicates positive regular divergence, which is a buy signal.
On the other hand, during an uptrend, if the price forms two highs with the second higher than the first, but the RSI shows the second high lower, this points to negative regular divergence, indicating a sell signal.
Divergence in AO (Awesome Oscillator) :
The AO indicator calculates histograms using the difference between 5-period and 34-period simple moving averages. It compares peaks and troughs of these histograms with price movements, detecting divergence and plotting lines and arrows to signal divergence.
🔵 Table
The following table breaks down the main features of the oscillator. It covers four critical categories: Exist, Consecutive, Divergence Quality, and Change Phase Indicator.
Exist : If divergence is detected, a "+" will appear in this row.
Consecutive: Shows the number of consecutive divergences that have formed in a short period.
Divergence Quality : Evaluates the quality of the divergence based on the number of occurrences. One is labeled "Normal," two are "Good," and three or more are considered "Strong."
Change Phase Indicator : If a phase change is detected between two oscillation peaks, this is marked in the table.

🟣 Understanding Divergence
As mentioned, divergence occurs in technical analysis when a stock's price behaves contrary to indicators on the price chart. Divergence can signify either a reversal of the stock's trend or a continuation of the previous trend correction.
Divergences can act as reversal patterns or continuation patterns. Moreover, divergences can be utilized to identify potential support and resistance levels.
For instance, when an indicator is trending upwards and positive, but the price is declining and trending downwards, divergence occurs. Divergence in a stock indicates trader indecision in buying and selling and warns traders to reconsider their decisions regarding buying or holding the stock.
Divergence aids analysts in identifying critical price points. In indicator divergences, it serves as a potent signal in the realm of technical analysis.
🟣 Types of Divergence
1.Regular Divergence
o Positive Regular Divergence (RD+)
o Negative Regular Divergence (RD-)
2.Hidden Divergence
o Positive Hidden Divergence (HD+)
o Negative Hidden Divergence (HD-)
3.Time Divergence
Key Note : This indicator is specifically designed to identify "Regular Divergence" only. Therefore, the following explanation pertains to this type of divergence.
🔵 Regular Divergence/Convergence
Regular Divergence(Convergence) occurs due to conflicting behavior between the indicator and the price chart, typically at the end of a trend. Recognizing Regular Divergence suggests an anticipation of a trend reversal or a pattern resembling a reversal.
🟣 Positive Regular Divergence (RD+)
In contrast to negative divergence, positive Regular Divergence occurs at the end of a downtrend and between two price lows. It manifests when the price forms a new low on the price chart, but the indicator fails to recognize it.
Positive Regular Divergence indicates strong buying pressure and weak selling pressure. Following the identification of positive divergence on the chart, one can anticipate a price increase for the examined stock.
🟣 Negative Regular Divergence (RD-)
This type of Regular Divergence emerges between two price highs during an uptrend. A new high is formed on the price chart, but the indicator fails to acknowledge it. This scenario indicates negative Regular Divergence.
The likelihood of a subsequent market downturn is high. Negative divergence signifies strong selling pressure and weak buying pressure, suggesting an unfavorable future for the stock.
🔵 How to use
By utilizing the "Fractal Period" input, you can specify your desired periods for identifying divergences.
Additionally, through the "Divergence Detect Method" feature, you can choose which oscillators (MACD, RSI, or AO) to base divergence identification on.
Divergence in MACD Oscillator :
Divergence in the MACD indicator occurs when the price chart and the MACD line form a noticeable opposing pattern, meaning the price moves contrary to the MACD line. In this scenario, one expects a reversal in price direction.
Divergence in RSI Oscillator :
If divergence occurs during a downtrend on the price chart (two consecutive lows, with the second low being lower) and on the corresponding RSI point (two consecutive lows, with the second low being higher), it signifies positive Regular Divergence and implies a buying signal.
Conversely, if divergence occurs during an uptrend on the price chart (two consecutive highs, with the second high being higher) and on the corresponding RSI point (two consecutive highs, with the second high being lower), it indicates negative Regular Divergence, signaling a selling opportunity.
Divergence in AO Oscillator :
The AO indicator calculates histograms similar to the AO base. It calculates the difference between the simple moving averages of 5 and 34 periods based on the median of each bar. Then, it plots the bars based on the difference.
It then compares the histograms to detect peaks and troughs in the AO histograms and compares the identified peaks and troughs to the price. Whenever divergence is detected, it plots lines and arrows.
🔵 Table
The table contains information on the functional features of this oscillator that you can utilize. Four categories of information are presented in the table: "Exist," "Consecutive," "Divergence Quality," and "Change Phase Indicator."
Exist :
If divergence exists, you'll see "+" in this row.
Consecutive :
Divergences may occur consecutively. If same-type divergences form within short intervals, you can observe the count in this row.
Divergence Quality : Based on the number of consecutive divergences, their quality can be evaluated. If one divergence exists, its quality is considered "Normal." If two divergences exist, the quality is "Good," and if three or more divergences exist, the quality is considered "Strong."
Change Phase Indicator : If a phase change occurs between two oscillation peaks formed based on divergence, this change is identified and displayed in this row.
Price Action - Support & Resistance + MACD LONG StrategyUsing "Price Action - Support & Resistance by DGT" and the MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) indicator in TradingView can help develop a trade strategy. Here's a step-by-step approach you can follow:
1. Identifying Support and Resistance Levels: Apply the "Price Action - Support & Resistance by DGT" indicator to your chart. This indicator helps you identify key support and resistance levels based on price action. These levels act as potential areas where the price may reverse or consolidate.
2. Confirming Support and Resistance Levels: Once the indicator has plotted support and resistance levels on your chart, analyze the historical price action around these levels. Look for multiple touches or bounces from the same level, which adds strength to the support or resistance zone.
3. Analyzing the MACD Indicator: Add the MACD indicator to your chart. The MACD consists of two lines: the MACD line and the signal line, along with a histogram representing the difference between the two lines. The MACD helps identify momentum and potential trend reversals.
When the MACD line crosses above the signal line and the histogram turns positive, it suggests bullish momentum.
4. Identifying Trade Opportunities:
Bullish Trade: Look for a bullish setup when the price approaches a strong support level identified by the "Price Action - Support & Resistance by DGT" indicator. Wait for the MACD lines to cross above the signal line and the histogram to turn positive, indicating bullish momentum. Enter a long position with a stop loss below the
support level.
Managing the Trade: Once you enter a trade, consider setting a target based on the distance between your entry point and the nearest significant support or resistance level. You can also use trailing stop losses or other risk management techniques to protect your profits and limit potential losses.
Remember that no trading strategy is guaranteed to be successful, and it's important to practice proper risk management and conduct thorough analysis before making any trading decisions. Additionally, it's recommended to backtest and demo trade this strategy before using it with real money.
MACD Potential Divergence - FontiramisuIndicator showing potential momentum divergences on MACD Momentum.
The problem with the classic divergence is that when the signal appears, it is sometimes too late to enter a trade .
The potential divergence corrects this problem by signaling the beginning of a potential divergence .
MACD is a momentum indicator that offers relevant insights with divergences.
Potential divergences are indicated with the letter B and a red color for Bearish Div or Green color for Bullish Div .
Potential divergence is confirmed when the line and the label "Bear"' or "Bull" appear.

B. Trendlines Primary or Trendlines Secondary
- Timeframe 1m you DON'T NEED Trendlines Primary or Trendlines Secondary
- Timeframe 5m you DON'T NEED Trendlines Secondary, but you CAN ADD Trendlines Primary if you fell it helpful (for me, it is helpful to find where the candles start or the end trend or a consolidation or where the candles will surpass a resistance or a support).
- Timeframe 15m you DON'T NEED Trendlines Secondary, DEFENITELY add Trendlines Primary it will help to find where the candles stop or a consolidation or where the candles will surpass a resistance or a support).
- Timeframe 30m or more, DEFENITELY NEED BOTH Trendlines Primary and Secondary Trendlines, it will help to find where the candle stop or consolidation or where the candle will surpass a resistance or support).
C. Bolinger, Ichimoku Cloud and Lagging Span
- Please DON'T CHANGE IT at all, it's really helpful to know when and where to make an entry decesion or a trend or a consolidation, if you don't understand how to read it, you better to learn it first (on "how to read" section and "How to OPEN position" the section below)

- TF 15m is to confirm that judgement from TF 5m, be careful if it not similar then it used to be a consolidation or the beginning of the reversal.
There's a lot a way to open the position than above information that i gave it to you, but consider there are a limit char on this column, I hope it will help your trading and make a more profit on it.
[blackcat] L1 Stick-Line Merged MACDLevel: 1
Background
The MACD is a superior derivative of moving average crossovers and was developed by Gerald Appel in 1979 as a market timing tool. MACD uses two exponential moving averages with different bar periods, which are then subtracted to form what Mr. Appel calls the Fast Line. A 9-period moving average of the fast line creates the slow line.
Function
L1 Stick-Line Merged MACD merges dif and dea lines with macd sticks by the same color candles. The generation of candles help to confirm the trend contiuation. E.g. yellow candles indicate up trend continuation while blue candles indicate down trend continuation
Key Signal
dif --> classic MACD diff fast line in yellow
dea --> classic MACD dea slow line in fuchsia
macd --> classic difference histogram
upslmerge --> up trend continuation yellow candle merge condition
dnslmerge --> down trend continuation blue candle merge condition
Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. merged line and stick with candles help confirm trend reversal
2. long entry signal is indicated.
Cons:
1. need sophisticated knowledge of MACD to use this well
2. this still requires a lot of MACD experience to obtain reliable trading signals
Remarks
Merge lines and sticks of MACD into candles. Better view of the trend

In real life, I am a prolific inventor. I have successfully applied for more than 60 international and regional patents in the past 12 years. But in the past two years or so, I have tried to transfer my creativity to the development of trading strategies. Tradingview is the ideal platform for me. I am selecting and contributing some of the hundreds of scripts to publish in Tradingview community. Welcome everyone to interact with me to discuss these interesting pine scripts.
The scripts posted are categorized into 5 levels according to my efforts or manhours put into these works.
Level 1 : interesting script snippets or distinctive improvement from classic indicators or strategy. Level 1 scripts can usually appear in more complex indicators as a function module or element.
Level 2 : composite indicator/strategy. By selecting or combining several independent or dependent functions or sub indicators in proper way, the composite script exhibits a resonance phenomenon which can filter out noise or fake trading signal to enhance trading confidence level.
Level 3 : comprehensive indicator/strategy. They are simple trading systems based on my strategies. They are commonly containing several or all of entry signal, close signal, stop loss, take profit, re-entry, risk management, and position sizing techniques. Even some interesting fundamental and mass psychological aspects are incorporated.
Level 4 : script snippets or functions that do not disclose source code. Interesting element that can reveal market laws and work as raw material for indicators and strategies. If you find Level 1~2 scripts are helpful, Level 4 is a private version that took me far more efforts to develop.
Level 5 : indicator/strategy that do not disclose source code. private version of Level 3 script with my accumulated script processing skills or a large number of custom functions. I had a private function library built in past two years. Level 5 scripts use many of them to achieve private trading strategy.
McClellan Oscillator [CC]The McClellan Oscillator was created by Sherman and Marian McClellan and it is essentially a MACD of the advancing and declining symbols of the day and is best used as a comparison with the biggest stocks such as my example Apple but that is just my opinion. I pulled the symbol names from a Trading View blog so I'm not 100% sure if they are accurate so please let me know if I'm wrong. Buy when the indicator is over 0 and sell when it falls below 0 but keep in mind that these values are for the market itself and not the individual symbol.
This was a special request so let me know if you would like me to publish more scripts or if you want something custom done!
Note: I'm republishing this because the original script couldn't be found in searches so this will fix that.
Presets Selector - FRIDAY NIGHT CHALLENGEBonjour/Salut ça va?
Ok enough for the french :) You guys should really stop challenging me on things on Pinescript and asking me if it's possible or not because... that's the second time in a row I'm about to reveal a nice trick
Please take this example as a proof of concept/feasability. This follower said "I'm tired of manually filling the fields of my indicator, my fingers are dead.... every time I change something in the code, I lose the configuration by default"
Say no more sir.... challenge accep..... wait for it ....ted (that's his real name actually) !!!!
Mesdames et messieurs (damn... my french accent is back), let's unveil the curtain on... the PRESETS SELECTOR (please try to imagine someone super famous shouting it and everyone standing and clapping their hands...)
What I mean by presets is THIS
I inspired myself from this script MacD-Custom-Indicator-Multiple-Time-Frame-All-Available-Options/ (this guy has more likes in a single indicator than me and my friends and my family in all social media channels combined over the past 15 years or so....#humbled)
Anywoo.... the concept is that you can define presets in your script .... which is not possible by TradingView at the moment. If you always have the same set of parameters for a given indicator, please think about your fingers too and give them some rest by implementing a preset in the code directly
I also added a few features :
- You can choose the resolution of the indicator (from 1 minute to 1 month)
- You can choose also between displaying a MACD or a MACD ZERO LAG
Imagine now you have a super complex backtest with hundreds of fields... and unfortunately ... you'll have to fill some of them for each of your tests. Might change in the future if TradingView will add the feature though :)
PS
I'm writing the Algorithm Builder documentation this weekend and the website should open in 3 weeks maximum. I think it's one of the most beautiful trading websites I've seen ever (I didn't do it, my friend did but who cares... it's mine :p)
PS2
I didn't post yesterday the script of the day so I'll post it tomorrow. What is due is due and I won't fail my challenge even ONCE !!!! ("But you just did yesterday bro...")
Have a great weekend
Dave
