Stablecoin
Stablecoin Dominance [LuxAlgo]The Stablecoin Dominance tool displays the evolution of the relative supply dominance of major stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, BUSD, DAI, and TUSD.
Users can disable supported stablecoins to only show the supply dominance relative to the ones enabled.
🔶 USAGE
The stablecoin space is subject to constant change due to new arriving stablecoins, regulation, collapse of coins...etc.
Studying the evolution in supply dominance can help see the effect that certain events can have on the stablecoin sphere.
This dominance graph is displayed over the user price chart to easily observe the correlation between stablecoin dominances and market prices. Users can still move the tool to a new pane below if having it on the price chart is not desired.
🔶 DETAILS
Supported stablecoins include:
Tether (USDT)
USD Coin (USDC)
Binance USD (BUSD)
Dai (DAI)
TrueUSD (TUSD)
Supply dominance of a stablecoin is calculated by dividing the total supply of that stablecoin by the total supply of all enabled stablecoins. That is for N stablecoins:
sd(stablecoin A) = supply(stablecoin 1) / [supply(stablecoin 1) + supply(stablecoin 2) + supply(stablecoin 3) + ... + supply(stablecoin N)
🔹 Display
Users can control the fill style of the displayed areas, with "Gradient" enabled by default. Using "Solid" will use a solid color for each area:
This can improve the performance of the script.
Selecting "None" will not display areas.
🔶 SETTINGS
Fill Style: Fill style of the areas between each returned supply dominance. "Gradient" will color the areas using a gradient, while "Solid" will use a solid color.
Stablecoins List: List of stablecoins used for the supply dominance calculation, disabling one stablecoin will exclude it from all calculations.
Crypto Stablecoin Supply - Indicator [presentTrading]█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "Stablecoin Supply - Indicator" differentiates itself by focusing on the aggregate supply of major stablecoins—USDT, USDC, and DAI—rather than traditional price-based metrics. Its premise is that fluctuations in the total supply of these stablecoins can serve as leading indicators for broader market movements, offering traders a unique vantage point to anticipate shifts in market sentiment.

█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
🔶 Data Collection
The strategy begins with the collection of the closing supply for USDT, USDC, and DAI stablecoins. This data is fetched using a specified timeframe (**`tfInput`**), allowing for flexibility in analysis periods.
🔶 Supply Calculation
The individual supplies of USDT, USDC, and DAI are then aggregated to determine the total stablecoin supply within the market at any given time. This combined figure serves as the foundation for the subsequent statistical analysis.
🔶 Z-Score Computation
The heart of the indicator's strategy lies in the computation of the Z-Score, which is a statistical measure used to identify how far a data point is from the mean, relative to the standard deviation. The formula for the Z-Score is:
Z = (X - μ) / σ
Where:
- Z is the Z-Score
- X is the current total stablecoin supply (TotalStablecoinClose)
- μ (mu) is the mean of the total stablecoin supply over a specified length (len)
- σ (sigma) is the standard deviation of the total stablecoin supply over the same length
A moving average of the Z-Score (**`zScore_ma`**) is calculated over a short period (defaulted to 3) to smooth out the volatility and provide a clearer signal.
🔶 Signal Interpretation
The Z-Score itself is plotted, with its color indicating its relation to a defined threshold (0.382), serving as a direct visual cue for market sentiment. Zones are also highlighted to show when the Z-Score is within certain extreme ranges, suggesting overbought or oversold conditions.
Bull -> Bear
█ Trade Direction
- **Entry Threshold**: A Z-Score crossing above 0.382 suggests an increase in stablecoin supply relative to its historical average, potentially indicating bullish market sentiment or incoming capital flow into cryptocurrencies.
- **Exit Threshold**: Conversely, a Z-Score dropping below -0.382 may signal a reduction in stablecoin supply, hinting at bearish sentiment or capital withdrawal.
█ Usage
Traders can leverage the "Stablecoin Supply - Indicator" to gain insights into the underlying market dynamics that are not immediately apparent through price analysis alone. It is particularly useful for identifying potential shifts in market sentiment before they are reflected in price movements. By integrating this indicator with other technical analysis tools, traders can develop a more rounded and informed trading strategy.
█ Default Settings
- Timeframe Input (`tfInput`): Allows users to specify the timeframe for data collection, adding flexibility to the analysis.
- Z-Score Length (`len`): Set to 252 by default, representing the period over which the mean and standard deviation of the stablecoin supply are calculated.
- Color Coding: Uses distinct colors (green for bullish, red for bearish) to indicate the Z-Score's position relative to its thresholds, enhancing visual clarity.
- Extreme Range Fill: Highlights areas between defined high and low Z-Score thresholds with distinct colors to indicate potential overbought or oversold conditions.
By integrating considerations of stablecoin supply into the analytical framework, the "Stablecoin Supply - Indicator" offers a novel perspective on cryptocurrency market dynamics, enabling traders to make more nuanced and informed decisions.
STABLECOINS DEPEG FINDERSTABLECOINS DEPEG FINDER
With this script, you will be able to understand how DePeg in stablecoins USDT, USDC, and FDUSD can influence the TOTAL Market Cap.
WHAT IS DEPEG?
DePeg occurs when a stablecoin loses its peg. It can't maintain the $1.00 price for a while (or anymore). Traders can use DePeg for high-quality trading both in Crypto and Stablecoins. Usually, a Negative DePeg (e.g., 0.98%) means you can buy Stablecoins at a 2% discount. This translates to a 2% gain when the Stablecoin returns to its peg. Additionally, a Positive DePeg could be a good moment for selling or withdrawal.
WHY DEPEG MATTERS IN THE CRYPTO SPACE
Depeg in Crypto markets is primarily a matter of "earning from small differences in peg." If well understood, it can help traders and analysts to spot whales' next moves. Usually, when a negative DePeg (below $1) occurs, it means whales are in a hurry to sell their Stablecoin tokens for Crypto Tokens. In this hurry, they sell Stablecoins at a discount. In the short term, a Crypto pump is likely planned, and they buy the next x100 token.
On the other hand, a positive DePeg (above $1) means whales are in a hurry to convert tokens into Stablecoins because they are heavily selling Crypto Tokens. This leads to them paying more for Stablecoins. Positive Depeg is more interesting than Negative DePeg. Usually, it signifies an important sell-off in the crypto environment, creating high tension to safeguard your hard-earned money. Whales hurry to convert altcoins and tokens into stablecoins, causing a Positive Depeg (they are willing to pay more to be safe). Positive DePeg is plotted as Intense Background Color.
Identifying 'areas' where this occurs could help traders and analysts understand this highly manipulative market better and take positions.
THE SCRIPT
This script will help traders and analysts understand when USDT, USDC, and FDUSD depegged and how the crypto market reacted. It comes with the possibility to check and plot backgrounds when there's Positive DePeg or Negative DePeg for USDT, USDC, or FDUSD.
It's pretty useful for data analysis. In the bottom-right part, you can check the actual stablecoin peg for the three Stablecoins:
- Highest Positive DePeg in a given BackTrace
- Average Positive DePeg in a given BackTrace
- Actual Peg for USDT, USDC, FDUSD
- Average Negative DePeg in a given BackTrace
- Lowest Negative DePeg in a given BackTrace
UNDERSTANDING THE BACKGROUND PLOT
NEGATIVE DEPEG
For each Stablecoin, negative DePeg is plotted as Translucent Background Color: USDT lime, USDC aqua, FDUSD grey. You can choose from settings whether it needs to be enabled or disabled for each token.
POSITIVE DEPEG
For each Stablecoin, positive DePeg is plotted as Intense Background Color: USDT lime, USDC aqua, FDUSD grey. You can choose from settings whether it needs to be enabled or disabled for each token.
USE CASE EXAMPLES
With this script you can plan to be alerted WHEN one of those stablecoin are depegging over a threesold. Than you can act accordingly.
BUY OPPORTUNITY
Let' suppose you want to see how USDC can influence Crypto Price when deppeged
I've setup signal to be plotted only for negative Depeg when USDC goes below 0.998. As you can see it was a very good and nice buy area for the entire crypto market
SELL OPPORTUNITY
Spot a selling point could be harder. In the example below let's see how USDC positive DePeg can show signal of Crypto dump earlier in daily TF
Blockunity Stablecoin Liquidity (BSL)Monitor the liquidity of the crypto market by tracking the capitalizations of the major Stablecoins.
Stablecoin Liquidity (BSL) is an ideal tool for visualizing data on major Stablecoins. The number of Stablecoins in circulation is one of the best indices of liquidity within the crypto market. It’s an important metric to keep an eye on, as an increase in the number of Stablecoins in circulation offers a great opportunity to see cryptoasset prices rise. The tool’s multiple on-board display modes enable analysis of its data in the best possible conditions.
The Idea
The goal is to provide the community with the ideal tool to visualize the liquidity of the crypto market, via the state of the market capitalizations of the major Stablecoins.
How to Use
The tool is very easy to use and interpret. First of all, let's distinguish two main elements:
The chart as 3 distinct display modes to let you observe data in the best possible conditions.
There is a panel that summarizes the market capitalizations of the main Stablecoins.
Display Mode: Cumulative
In Cumulative mode (default), the different capitalizations are displayed one on top of the other with colored bands.
You can see that when the number of Stablecoins in circulation increases, crypto asset prices enter an uptrend. And if the liquidity of Stablecoins dries up, the trend will become bearish.
Display Mode: Aggregated
Aggregated mode displays a single line, which is the sum of the different capitalizations, varying between green and red depending on the state of this data according to its moving average declared in the 'Aggregated MA Lengh' field.
You can thus easily see trend changes and therefore opportunities to enter or exit the crypto market.
Display Mode: Independent
The Independent mode also displays the different capitalizations, but detached from each other with labels.
This display mode is particularly interesting for studying transfers from one Stablecoin to another, as can be seen below.
Other Settings
You can choose whether or not to include each of the Stablecoins data, and configure their display color. Note that in 'Cumulative' display mode, the data is taken into account even if the box is unchecked.
How it Works
The tool works in a simple way: We take the market capitalization data of the Stablecoins that interest us, then we process them according to the different display modes.
Let us know if you would like other ways of visualizing this data!
USDT+USDC+BUSD Market CapThis Pine Script indicator visualizes the combined market capitalization of three prominent stablecoins: USDT, USDC, and BUSD, on a daily basis.
It fetches the daily closing market caps of these stablecoins and sums them. The resulting line graph is displayed in its own separate pane below the main price chart.
The line is color-coded: green on days when the market cap is increasing compared to the previous day, and red when it's decreasing.
Stablecoin Market Cap RiskThe Stablecoins Market Cap Risk indicator serves as a valuable risk oscillator for Bitcoin on a macro scale . This metric is derived by aggregating the market capitalization of CRYPTOCAP:USDT (Tether) and CRYPTOCAP:USDC (USD Coin), subsequently dividing this combined value by CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL (total market capitalization). The resulting figure is further normalized through linear regression.
The regression in question:

However, it is essential to acknowledge that this model's reliability may diminish over time, as it is based solely on data from the most recent 4.5 years of cryptocurrency market trends. Consequently, adaptations and enhancements to the model are anticipated in the future to ensure its continued relevance and accuracy.

Stable Coin Dominance RSIThe Stable Coin Dominance RSI evaluates the relative dominance of stable coins within the crypto ecosystem as compared to the total market cap. As stable coin dominance rises, it suggests that market participants are exiting out of crypto assets and into dollar pegged stable coins. The opposite is true inversely; as stable coin dominance diminishes, it suggests that market participants are divesting out of stable coins and into crypto assets.
Stable coin dominance can be expressed as a percentage of the total market cap as follows: Stable Coins / Total Crypto. The Stable Coin Dominance RSI indicator uses this percentage and converts it into an oscillator using the formula for the relative strength index.
The calculation for the indicator is: RSI
The users can select from USDT and USDC, two most dominant stable tokens by market cap, and compare their relative dominance against Bitcoin and the alt market.
The Stable Coin Dominance RSI may be useful on larger timeframes when attempting to identify the market’s appetite for risk along with oversold and undersold readings which may indicate pivots or turn arounds along market extremes.
The limitation of the indicator lies in the fact that stable coins continue to make up a growing percentage of the total market cap over time and thus comparisons to earlier cycles will not be a perfect apples-to-apples evaluation. This being said, the smoothing function of the RSI’s look back helps to moderate these comparative differences.
Stablecoins CorrelationThe indicator shows the correlation between stablecoins and bitcoin by means of liquidity flowing from stables to crypto and back. Where the indicator has highs, the bitcoin is usually the bottom and vice versa.
4 main Stablecoin MarketCapThis indicator summarized 4 main stablecoin marketcap (USDT, USDC , BUSD, DAI).
It is given that most of the transactions of cryptocurrencies are traded by stablecoins, and USDT, USDC , BUSD and DAI shared 90%+ of the stablecoins market capacity. Therefore, by summarizing these 4 main stablecoins total market capacity, can reflect the overall demand power.
When the indicator goes up, it is expected that the overall market demand will increase.
When the indicator goes down, it is expected that the cryptocurrencies market might be in a recession.
This indicator could be more useful in a longer timeframe, day-trade or even shorter might not be the suitable timeframe.

SSR - Stablecoin Supply Ratio - Bitcoin - CryptocurrencyThe Stablecoin Supply Ratio (SSR) is the ratio between Bitcoin supply and the supply of stablecoins, denominated in BTC.
When the SSR is low, the current stablecoin supply has more "buying power" to purchase BTC. It serves as a proxy for the supply/demand mechanics between BTC and USD.

Our aim here is simple...to combine the overall volume flow from Fiat or stable currencies into the crypto-markets.
This is the first portion of a series I plan to share involving a holistic approach to understanding the overall crypto-ecosystem. I've included several of the highest ranking by volume exchanges and their accompanying older/well known stablecoins.
Also, the historic data for the newer stable coins made the study invalid due to limited sample size. That included coins like USDC, DAI, GUSD, BUSD and more. For this reason, the 10 sources of data here adequately provide the data needed to see a full view of the market volume going in and out of bitcoin at any given moment
