Pulse DPO: Major Cycle Tops and Bottoms█ OVERVIEW
Pulse DPO is an oscillator designed to highlight Major Cycle Tops and Bottoms .
It works on any market driven by cycles. It operates by removing the short-term noise from the price action and focuses on the market's cyclical nature.
This indicator uses a Normalized version of the Detrended Price Oscillator (DPO) on a 0-100 scale, making it easier to identify major tops and bottoms.
Credit: The DPO was first developed by William Blau in 1991.
█ HOW TO READ IT
Pulse DPO oscillates in the range between 0 and 100. A value in the upper section signals an OverBought (OB) condition, while a value in the lower section signals an OverSold (OS) condition.
Generally, the triggering of OB and OS conditions don't necessarily translate into swing tops and bottoms, but rather suggest caution on approaching a market that might be overextended.
Nevertheless, this indicator has been customized to trigger the signal only during remarkable top and bottom events.
I suggest using it on the Daily Time Frame , but you're free to experiment with this indicator on other time frames.
The indicator has Built-in Alerts to signal the crossing of the Thresholds. Please don't act on an isolated signal, but rather integrate it to work in conjunction with the indicators present in your Trading Plan.
█ OB SIGNAL ON: ENTERING OVERBOUGHT CONDITION
When Pulse DPO crosses Above the Top Threshold it Triggers ON the OB signal. At this point the oscillator line shifts to OB color.
When Pulse DPO enters the OB Zone, please beware! In this Area the Major Players usually become Active Sellers to the Public. While the OB signal is On, it might be wise to Consider Selling a portion or the whole Long Position.
Please note that even though this indicator aims to focus on major tops and bottoms, a strong trending market might trigger the OB signal and stay with it for a long time. That's especially true on young markets and on bubble-mode markets.
█ OB SIGNAL OFF: EXITING OVERBOUGHT CONDITION
When Pulse DPO crosses Below the Top Threshold it Triggers OFF the OB signal. At this point the oscillator line shifts to its normal color.
When Pulse DPO exits the OB Zone, please beware because a Major Top might just have occurred. In this Area the Major Players usually become Aggressive Sellers. They might wind up any remaining Long Positions and Open new Short Positions.
This might be a good area to Open Shorts or to Close/Reverse any remaining Long Position. Whatever you choose to do, it's usually best to act quickly because the market is prone to enter into panic mode.
█ OS SIGNAL ON: ENTERING OVERSOLD CONDITION
When Pulse DPO crosses Below the Bottom Threshold it Triggers ON the OS signal. At this point the oscillator line shifts to OS color.
When Pulse DPO enters the OS Zone, please beware because in this Area the Major Players usually become Active Buyers accumulating Long Positions from the desperate Public.
While the OS signal is On, it might be wise to Consider becoming a Buyer or to implement a Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) Strategy to build a Long Position towards the next Cycle. In contrast to the tops, the OS state usually takes longer to resolve a major bottom.
█ OS SIGNAL OFF: EXITING OVERSOLD CONDITION
When Pulse DPO crosses Above the Bottom Threshold it Triggers OFF the OS signal. At this point the oscillator line shifts to its normal color.
When Pulse DPO exits the OS Zone, please beware because a Major Bottom might already be in place. In this Area the Major Players become Aggresive Buyers. They might wind up any remaining Short Positions and Open new Long Positions.
This might be a good area to Open Longs or to Close/Reverse any remaining Short Positions.
█ WHY WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN THIS INDICATOR?
This indicator is built over a solid foundation capable of signaling Major Cycle Tops and Bottoms across many markets. Let's see some examples:
Early Bitcoin Years: From 0 to 1242
This chart is in logarithmic mode in order to properly display various exponential cycles. Pulse DPO is properly signaling the major early highs from 9-Jun-2011 at 31.50, to the next one on 9-Apr-2013 at 240 and the epic top from 29-Nov-2013 at 1242.
Due to the massive price movements, the OB condition stays pinned during most of the exponential price action. But as you can see, the OB condition quickly vanishes once the Cycle Top has been reached. As the market matures, the OB condition becomes more exceptional and triggers much closer from the Cycle Top.
With regards to Cycle Bottoms, the early bottom of 2 after having peaked at 31.50 doesn’t get captured by the indicator. That is the only cycle bottom that escapes the Pulse DPO when the bottom threshold is set at a value of 5. In that event, the oscillator low reached 6.95.
Bitcoin Adoption Spreading: From 257 to 73k
This chart is in logarithmic mode in order to properly display various exponential cycles. Pulse DPO is properly signaling all the major highs from 17-Dec-2017 at 19k, to the next one on 14-Apr-2021 at 64k and the most recent top from 9-Nov-2021 at 68k.
During the massive run of 2017, the OB condition still stayed triggered for a few weeks on each swing top. But on the next cycles it started to signal only for a few days before each swing top actually happened. The OB condition during the last cycle top triggered only for 3 days. Therefore the signal grows in focus as the market matures.
At the time of publishing this indicator, Bitcoin printed a new All Time High (ATH) on 13-Mar-2024 at 73k. That run didn’t trigger the OB condition. Therefore, if the indicator is correct the Bitcoin market still has some way to grow during the next months.
With regards to Cycle Bottoms, the bottom of 3k after having peaked at19k got captured within the wide OS zone. The bottom of 15k after having peaked at 68k got captured too within the OS accumulation area.
Gold
Pulse DPO behaves surprisingly well on a long standing market such as Gold. Moving back to the 197x years it’s been signaling most Cycle Tops and Bottoms with precision. During the last cycle, it shows topping at 2k and bottoming at 1.6k.
The current price action is signaling OB condition in the range of 2.5k to 2.7k. Looking at past cycles, it tends to trigger on and off at multiple swing tops until reaching the final cycle top. Therefore this might indicate the first wave within a potential gold run.
Oil
On the Oil market, we can see that most of the cycle tops and bottoms since the 80s got signaled. The only exception being the low from 2020 which didn’t trigger.
EURUSD
On Forex markets the Pulse DPO also behaves as expected. Looking back at EURUSD we can see the marketing triggering OB and OS conditions during major cycle tops and bottoms from recent times until the 80s.
S&P 500
On the S&P 500 the Pulse DPO catched the lows from 2016 and 2020. Looking at present price action, the recent ATH didn’t trigger the OB condition. Therefore, the indicator is allowing room for another leg up during the next months.
Amazon
On the Amazon chart the Pulse DPO is mirroring pretty accurately the major swings. Scrolling back to the early 2000s, this chart resembles early exponential swings in the crypto space.
Tesla
Moving onto a younger tech stock, Pulse DPO captures pretty accurately the major tops and bottoms. The chart is shown in logarithmic scale to better display the magnitude of the moves.

TOPS
Tops & Bottoms - Day of Week Report█ OVERVIEW
The indicator tracks when the weekly tops and bottoms occur and reports the statistics by the days of the week.
█ CONCEPTS
Not all the days of the week are equal, and the market dynamic can follow through or shift over the trading week. Tops and bottoms are vital when entering a trade, as they will decide if you are catching the train or being straight offside. They are equally crucial when exiting a position, as they will determine if you are closing at the optimal price or seeing your unrealized profits vanish.
This indicator is before all for educational purposes. It aims to make the knowledge available to all traders, facilitate understanding of the various markets, and ultimately get to know your trading pairs by heart (and saving a lot of your time backtesting!).
USDJPY tops and bottoms percentages on any given week.
USDJPY tops and bottoms percentages on up weeks versus down weeks.
█ FEATURES
Custom interval
By default, the indicator uses the weekly interval defined by the symbol (e.g., Monday to Sunday). This option allows you to specify your custom interval.
Weekly interval type filter
Analyze the weekly interval on any weeks, up weeks, or down weeks.
Configurable time range filter
Select the period to report from.
█ NOTES
Trading session
The indicator analyzes the days of the week from the daily chart. The daily trading sessions are defined by the symbol (e.g., 17:00 - 17:00 on EURUSD).
Extended/electronic trading session
The indicator can include the extended hours when activated on the chart, using the 24-hour or 1440-minute timeframe.
█ HOW TO USE
Plot the indicator and navigate on the 1-day or 24-hour timeframe.
Tops & Bottoms - Time of Day Report█ OVERVIEW
The indicator tracks and reports the percentage of occurrence of daily tops and bottoms by the time of the day.
█ CONCEPTS
At certain times during the trading day, the market reverses and marks the high or low of the day. Tops and bottoms are vital when entering a trade, as they will decide if you are catching the train or being straight offside. They are equally crucial when exiting a position, as they will determine if you are closing at the optimal price or seeing your unrealized profits vanish.
This indicator is before all for educational purposes. It aims to make the knowledge available to all traders, facilitate understanding of the various markets, and ultimately get to know your trading pairs by heart.

The exchange time and geographical time zone options may observe Daylight Saving Time, unlike UTC+0.
Williams Vix Fix Bottoms and TopsThis indicator uses the very popular Williams Vix Fix for Bottoms by Chris Moody but not only does it search for bottoms, it can also be switch to work for tops for those who look to short the market. I've also added in a few options like flipping the indicator, color adjustments on the settings page, as well as cut a few of the options I feel did not need to be in which cluttered the screen when the settings were opened. In his later revisions of the Williams Vix Fix, CM took out the functions which draw the high/low ranges as well as the standard deviation which is what this indicator uses to show entry points. I have added options back on to draw these, I think it's useful. To be honest, I have not messed around with the number settings much so I am not sure how adjusting the look back range or going for smaller / bigger percentage changes would change how well the indicator works. It seems to work very well at its default settings.
With the Bollinger Band deviation, you have to remember that it looks back at the set amount of candles (20 by default) and uses those for the standard deviation: 1 dev = 68%, 2 dev = 95%, 3 dev = 99.7%
These percentages mean that at 2 dev, 95% of the last 20 candles will remain within the boundaries of the Bollinger Bands. Three tends to be too high, one is usually too low. Two is pretty good.
The lowest percentile option probably won't change much other than bring up the bottom line which doesn't effect the alerts or signals, just something to observe.
The highest percentile option makes a difference similar to the stand deviation and Bollinger Band. The higher you put it, the less likely it will get triggered but the more reliant it of a signal it should be.
As always, I have left notes throughout the code and I did leave in the code that was original but commented it out as I don't believe it's worth having.
I like to have the high/lows drawn, as well as the standard deviation. Then I find that the filtered entries are most accurate signals to follow. Simple entry is hit or miss, Aggressive entry is always early but sometimes that's not a great thing.
Horns Pattern Identifier [LuxAlgo]The following script detects regular and inverted horn patterns. Detected patterns are displayed alongside their respective confirmation and take profit levels derived from the pattern measure rule. Breakout of the confirmation levels are highlighted with labels.
This script is a continuation of the educational idea regarding horns patterns.
Settings
Threshold: Controls the maximum allowed slope of the line connecting two horns, with higher values allowing a higher slope.
Usage
Horn patterns are chart patterns introduced by Bulkowski in his book "Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns". We covered this pattern in the following post: Horn Tops & Bottoms Patterns - How To Find and Trade Them
The script allows the user to quickly determine the presence of a regular or inverted horn pattern, alongside automatically displaying the confirmation level and take profits associated with a detected pattern. These are calculated based on the rules described by Bulkowski.
Horn patterns are highlighted by a line connecting the horns, the dotted lines represent the confirmation level, once the price crosses this level a label will appear, either bullish or bearish depending on the detected pattern. The dashed line represents the take profit level.
BOSCILLATOR. A BOSS OSCILLATORI would like to first say I do not the indicator pieces. Would like to personally give thanks and credit to @MarkBench for coding this indicator and helping to get my vision for this system finally able to be published and used by anyone. I would also like the thank @lazy bear and @ChrisMoody for their bringing the Firefly oscillator and the SCHAFF TREND and the PPO price percentage oscillator to trading view. and @scilentor for his version of Godmode with LSMA . Thanks to @Shizaru for bringing Frama moving average (which we have adopted into the PPO as one of the base selections for the first time, as well as the ALMA ). Divergences have also been added. and components of the firefly have been removed such as the histogram. I have added two oscillators in the picture. The bottom is the standard settings. The above is how I prefer mine to look after tweaking the settings.
Before I get into explaining how its used. I want to say all the indicators are open and none privately owned or at least owned by indivduals who brought them to trading view. Any due permission is granted at my disclocsure. I also want to say this is not your typical mashup of indicators as the is a very clear way to view and use this specifically. Also I want to say original tools from their original scripts are also improved. For example the PPO being used we have added the FRAMA and ALMA moving average basis option which it did not have before. And now everything has clear divergences and some other minor changers. but here are the rules and examples.
THE BOSCILLATOR - A MULTI-LEVEL CONFLUENCE/CONFIRMATION FILTER VISUALIZATION
Some shorthand
(Main oscillator - firefly)
(background wave thing - PPO )
(the red vertical up and down line with red and green dots - STC )
(the blue, yellow and red dots - warning dots)
WHO IS THIS INDICATOR FOR? - This indicator itself is not meant to be a signal giver to buy or sell right now even though it could be and some of the original scripts are used as such. This indicator is actually meant to be a VISUAL CONFIRMATION & FILTER for trades taken in other methods outside of this indicator. What are some of those methods that may benefit from having this? Pivot point traders, FIB traders, Bollinger band traders, Moving average traders.. just to name a few. This indicator itself is meant to in a quick glance allow the trade to see the condition of many different elements outside of the main price and chart, and determine if that trade looks like it has too much risk, or if that trade looks suitable. It also provides a series of confirmations that could be used for adding to a position at different levels at the trade's discretion.
OPTIMAL CONDITIONS FOR CONSIDERING A SHORT = The PPO is orange/red + the STC is at the TOP + the Firefly is above the midline. The warning dots are being printed at the top. There is regular or hidden bearish divergence present.
OPTIMAL CONDITIONS FOR CONSIDERING A LONG = The PPO is light/dark green + the STC is at the BOTTOM + the Firefly is below the midline. The warning dots are being printed at the bottom. There is regular or hidden bullish divergence present.
Triggers for scaling/adding into your position = Keeping in mind that this oscillator on its own is not meant to be the sole reason for taking a trade, here are some triggers you will see for getting into position (preferably with the optimal conditions being met) The firefly flips from a green line into a red slide and vise versa. The firefly crosses the midline up or down. The STC begins going up/down and triggers a green or red dot while crossing one of the levels at 20 or 80. The warning dots being made begin to be printed lower/higher than the dot before last. The PPO shift from one color to the next in the favored direction of the trade you wish to make.
Signs for taking profit and protecting your trade = The Dots begin to print, the PPO changes colors at the top or bottom. the STC arrived are the top.
FILTER SITUATIONS TO AVOID TRADES = Wise to not take a trade if the PPO and the firefly do not agree. For example - if the PPO is showing green yet the firefly is still red may be an indication that it is getting a bit late for you to enter the trade. Same with opposing divergences and warning dots contradicting the trade you are looking at. The STC being already on the bottom or top may be a small indication that trade may already have been a little too ripe, but on its own is not always the case.
When selecting the PPO settings and moving average you are going to want it to be in favor of what you are trying to accomplish.IF you are one low time frames and trying to swing or scalp trade... chances are you want a reactive MA setting that iss responsive. Iwould recommend the HULL, ALMA, TEMA DEMA. For the Higher time frame the EMA or the T3 WDma can be wuite patient and helpful for a constant reminder of caution
Some notes - for the swing and scalp trading... in my experience the PPO moving average basis sees more responsive changes with the FRAMA , ALMA , HULL settings. for entering a trade, at least a couple of your triggers being present increases the success rate by a lot.
This chart illustrates the usefullness of having a Zero lag function for the firefly. The firefly should not be taken for signals or trades itself. However it is the most precise finder of divergences within the system. It is aways good to flip on and off zero lag just to take a quick look for divergences you might have mixed.
In this chart illustrates the general visual look and order of events to guide you along your way. Starts with the PPO turning green or red or orange which is potentially time to get out of your current trade. Then it switched colors when reversal begins and that is when you want to at the same time see the STC, the firefly, and lower caution dots coming in around the same area (highlighted in blue squares). Now near the end you see a red box. This is a filter aspect. The PPO is green, yet the others are saying down/short. This does not mean it must be a long, however it is great warning to maybe avoid getting to bearish for the downside in that time. You want the PPO and line up with the others and it should be visually apparent that they all want to go the same way.
Here is a list of some key elements (before changes this script made) of parts this oscillator includes. My original publication of my oscillation setup was blocked by the mods here.. this one however includes a large variety of items that have been altered from their original formats and a well-explained trading system to use it with.

Divergences for many indicators v2.0A gift from me to all.
This script is developed to find Divergences for many indicators. it analyses divergences and then draws line on the graph. red for negatif, lime for positive divergences.
Currently script checks divergence for RSI, MACD, MACD Histogram, Stochastic, CCI, Momentum, OBV, Diosc, VWMACD and CMF indicators. You can use some or all of these indicators to check divergences as you wish by choosing them on the menu. Also you can add/remove many other indicators to the script to check if there is divergence.
The script first calculates tops/bottoms by using higher time frame zig zag and then finds divergences.
Higher Time Frames are
if currend period 1 min => HTF = 5 mins
if currend period 3 mins => HTF = 15 mins
if currend period 5 mins => HTF = 15 mins
if currend period 15 mins => HTF = 1 hour
if currend period 30 mins => HTF = 1 hour
if currend period 45 mins => HTF = 1 hour
if currend period 1 hour => HTF = 4 hours
if currend period 2 hours => HTF = 4 hours
if currend period 3 hours => HTF = 4 hours
if currend period 4 hours => HTF = 1 day
if currend period 1 day => HTF = 1 week
if currend period 1 week => HTF = 1 week
future plan : script finds regular divergences, soon I will add hidden divergences and also I plan to add alert ;)

1337 VolumeThis volume indicator gives you a unique perspective and ability to analyze volume in any market. The upper line that is always >=0 represents average up volume over a user definable period while the lower line that is always <= 0 represents the average down volume over a user definable period.
green == bullish candle but volume lower than average
lime == bullish candle with above average volume
crimson == bearish candle with below average volume
red == bearish candle with above average volume
This indicator is very useful for spotting bottoms / tops (do a visual backtest and observe its behavior) as well as entry opportunities.
By default, the lookback period for average volume is 7, but I encourage you to change this value in order to find settings that work best for your particular market.
If you have any feedback or ideas for improvement, please comment.
Enjoy :D

[Bitcoin] Lastbattle's nose pickerI've been working on a top and bottom picker script over the past couple of weeks, based on RSI of multiple timeframe closing price. It've been a pretty good trading system that's tested over the last meteoric rise from 220~270 and back down to 230 right now, and I think it should be released to the community.
Sure, I'm not worried about this strategy not working anymore after it is being used by the majority. Everyone have a different view of the market, and this is more towards psychology. It'll likely to hold for as long as there are still humans trading Bitcoins. Bitcoin market is full of emotions, you'll never run out of it.
So why does it work?
If you take a look at the live charts offered by Bitcoinwisdom and Cryptowatch, they only offer 1, 3, 5, and 15 minute timeframe by default with no other option to switch.
Naturally more traders will look at these levels for oversold and overbought condition.
The same indicator does not work for the broader commodities market such as Gold and Silver.
How does it work?
As long as the RSI levels of 1, 3, 5, and 15 minute fulfills the oversold/overbought level, a signal will be given.
The overbought/oversold level gets compensated the higher volatility the market is in.
Note: **
-This is only for exit strategy. If you're on long, consider reducing or exiting your position when it displays a red. On the other hand if you're short, consider reducing or covering your shorts if it shows a green.
-It may give false signal in a trending market, use your trading experience and judgement to filter them out. (eg: uptrend usually have more than 1 legs AND after a long consolidation, RSI gets to oversold/overbought easily... the market will tend to test the support/resistance again.)
-This is tuned for the 15m interval, the script won't work beyond this. I use it for scalping futures. Feel free to change or remove this line 'plot(interval == 15 and '
-Even if it shows a signal, it may not be the true top/bottom. Sometimes there may be a weak diverged leg aka 'last fart', so that's one reason I dont use this for entry until more confirmation is given via other indicators.
** If your chart is zooming all the way down to 0, right click on the price at the right and select 'Scale price only'
Go ahead and try this out with willy, etc and see what works better :D
