Callout

Application

This tool is similar to a comment. The difference is that callout allows the user to extend its point from a specific location to a more customized placement.

To add a callout, set its two points on the chart and enter text for it. As with all text tools, you can edit the text of the callout directly on the chart – you just need to click on the text field, and you can type.

Text

All options available for a text inside a callout, may be set in the Text properties dialog:

General Options

Allows you to change the text color, font size, set bold or italic font.

Text Box

Where the text is typed.

Background

Can change the color and opacity of the callout's background.

Border

Sets the color, opacity, thickness and style of the border for the callout.

Text Wrap

Enables/Disables text wrap within the callout.

Coordinates

In the Coordinates properties dialog, you can set precisely the position of the point and container of a callout vertically (by setting the price) and horizontally (by setting the bar number):

Price 1

Allows for the precise placement of the callout's point (Price 1) using a bar number and price.

Price 2

Allows for the precise placement of the callout's container (Price 2) using a bar number and price.

In the Visibility properties dialog, you can switch the Callout tool displaying on charts of different timeframes:
