Moving Average Ribbon
Definition
Moving Average Ribbon is an indicator that displays up to four Moving Averages on your chart. Moving averages of varying lengths can be used to compare long-term and short-term trends and attempt to predict possible chart movements based on its past performance.
Inputs
Each separate MA has five different inputs associated with it, in a row:
1. A checkbox to quickly turn on/off the display of any of the Moving Averages.
2. A dropdown with MA types allows one to select what MA should be used for each plot. The options include SMA (Simple Moving Average), EMA (Exponential Moving Average), SMMA (Smoothed Moving Average), WMA (Weighted Moving Average), and VWMA (Volume-Weighted Moving Average).
3. Two dropdowns to select the source and the length for the MA calculation.
4. A color picker to select the color of the plot.
