Why is my account banned due to suspicious activity?

If you see the message "We noticed some suspicious activity on your account, so we've had to ban it" on your chart, this means that your account got banned since we've detected suspicious activity that violates paragraph 3 of our Terms of Use, Policies and Disclaimers:

"TradingView is dedicated to providing users with a secure and accessible platform for the display of market data, charts, news, and other financial information. As such, users are strictly prohibited from employing any automated data collection methods, including but not limited to scripts, APIs, screen scraping, data mining, robots, or other data gathering and extraction tools, regardless of their intended purposes. The use of any technology to circumvent protective mechanisms designed to prevent unauthorized reproduction or distribution of TradingView content is expressly forbidden."

Please note that the use of any data mining/extraction tools, any kind of automatization and optimization via external software, tools, scripts, bots and extensions are not allowed. All our features are for manual use only.

The first several violations lead to a temporary ban(ban's duration may vary). Ultimately, successive violations may lead to a permanent ban.

Note that this kind of bans affects an account's use of all charting features.
