TradingView Calendar: explore key economic and corporate events

Our Calendar is a comprehensive tool composed of the Economic Calendar, Earnings Calendar, Revenue Calendar, and Dividend Calendar.

Each helps you find key economic events from around the globe and dive into corporate announcements that reveal business performance — potentially helping you identify profitable stocks and bonds.

What is the Calendar

With our Calendar, you can prepare for upcoming events that may affect the markets, such as FOMC meetings or BLS unemployment rate reports.

This information can help you navigate the financial landscape — you can adjust your positions and decide whether to open new ones once the market outlook becomes clearer.

In the global economy, each country's decisions affect others. No economy exists in a vacuum, so traders and investors pay close attention to economic reports from both their own and other governments.

Moreover, global economic participants — governments, private companies, and public corporations — are interdependent. Each move they make is reflected in forex quotes, stock price changes, trade balances, and more. Tracking all of this can be time-consuming.

That's why we designed the four-in-one Calendar — all the data you need for comprehensive analysis in one place.

How to trade with the Calendar

Economic events can significantly impact your trading decisions, regardless of the assets you're interested in. For example, crypto traders closely watch FOMC meetings on interest rates, as these are key events for the entire financial industry. They offer insight into how "cheap" money will be in the near future, influencing capital allocations by major investment funds and other market players.

Right before such meetings, prices tend not to rise — markets are uncertain, and smart money avoids aggressive buying and selling, leading to reduced trading volume.

As shown in the screenshot, two days before the FOMC meeting, Bitcoin's price dropped approximately 3.5%.

Other important figures — such as the unemployment rate or sector-specific data — can indicate which parts of the economy might be more attractive for capital investment.

The Calendar can also help in bond trading. Since bonds are issued regularly — and many are actively traded on the secondary market — you can use the Calendar to track coupon rates of newly issued bonds. Then decide whether to continue holding your current bonds or purchase new ones.

Calendar and news

On TradingView, economic news is available through different tools. Alongside the Economic Calendar, you can explore the News Flow — a versatile tool that can be customized to show not only economic events but also a broad view of global markets.

News on TradingView are presented as News Flow and news page.

While the Calendar is best for country-level analysis and tracking key corporate metrics, News Flow offers detailed financial news from various providers on specific companies, allowing you to dive deeper into market sentiment.

Within News Flow, you can access the latest news — flash updates, important headlines, and top stories. Just click the "Priority" button to get your daily feed on the current market state from a single trusted source.

Economic Calendar and Supercharts

Every TradingView tool is connected with others so you can use them simultaneously. When you're conducting technical analysis on Supercharts, you can access the Calendar on the right toolbar.

You can also split view your screen and adjust the sizes of each separate window. All the functionality remains the same, only that you don't need to interrupt your research.

Moreover, make sure you find the gear button and access the Supercharts settings. There, navigate to the "Events" tab. Depending on the type of the asset you're charting, you'll find different economic events to display on your chart.

For stocks, you'll be able to display:

For other symbols like indices and futures, you'll be able to add to your Supercharts economic events that come from the Economic Calendar.

TradingView Calendar in a nutshell

Economic data is often the first thing investors examine when evaluating markets. Traders and investors tend to be cautious — calculating their moves multiple times before entering the market.

Before diving into technicals, you can use TradingView's tools to conduct a solid fundamental analysis.

Start with the Calendar to understand upcoming global events. Then, explore the other Calendars to see which companies are about to report. For a more detailed view, you can narrow your search with the Stock Screener.
