CRBN takes a green-hued position toward the wider market, seeking to track an index of large- and midcap stocks from both established and emerging markets. The fund selects stocks with a tilt toward a smaller carbon footprint, as measured by lower greenhouse gas and carbon emissions, relative to sales and market cap, respectively. The fund uses MSCI ESG CarbonMetrics data to determine these factors based on annual reports, corporate social responsibility reports, the Carbon Disclosure Project, oil and gas industry bodies, and relevant third-party sources. Absent these, data are estimated using a proprietary model. The index is reviewed semi-annually.
