CWEB tracks the same underlying index as KraneShares KWEB, but aims to deliver 2x its daily returns. Over longer periods, returns can vary significantly from its headline 2x target. CWEBs index excludes hardware companies, and its constituents are ranked by market capitalization in US Dollars while utilizing a 10% capping methodology. Furthermore, the Index is rebalanced semi-annually. CWEB can be a fit for US investors looking for a leveraged pure play on Chinas Internet ecosystem without going into the restrictive onshore A-Shares market. As a levered product, CWEB is not a buy-and-hold investment, and should not be expected to provide index leverage return greater than one day period. As such, the total cost of owning CWEB is more dependent on trading costs than management costs.
