ILCB is a passively-managed portfolio that offers exposure to a blend of growth and value stocks in the US large- and mid-cap space. Stocks are selected based on Morningstars index methodology that uses fundamental factors. This methodology identifies growth securities as those with relatively above-average historical and forecasted earnings, sales, equity and cash flow growth, while value securities as those with relatively low valuations based on price-to-book ratios, price-to-earnings ratios and other factors. The underlying index is reconstituted twice annually and rebalanced quarterly. Prior to March 19, 2021, ILCB was named iShares Morningstar Large-Cap ETF under the ticker JKD and tracked the Morningstar US Large Core Index that focused on core stocks (excluding both growth and value stocks).
