Buy and sell opportunityChart and trend analysis: Monthly timeframe - down Weekly timeframe - down Daily timeframe - up Hourly timeframe - up Trade action: Long-term opportunity - SELL, then BUY Short-term opportunity - BUY until price reaches the sell zone Important points: 1] Both, buy or sell zones have 2 price levels, color-coded for your understanding: Green (enter a trade), Red (exit the trade or stop-loss) 2] Your choice of buying or selling depends on your timeframe (long term wealth investor vs. short term income trader). 3] Follow our T4 strategy when the price reaches the zone: wait for a bullish and bearish reversal in buy and sell zones respectively. 4] Risk management strategies are critical in any trading or investing activity such as position size (how much to invest) or stop-loss (knowing when to exit with an acceptable, predefined, minimal loss). ABBV remains a strong investment even after its recent runAbbvie has been surging lately after a bullish trend line break, but it remains undervalued at the current price. The analyst summary score for Abbvie is 9.6/10, and the average analyst price target is $92 per share. Personally, I think Abbvie's strong earnings forecast and 5.5% dividend yield justifies $100 per share. Call volume in Abbvie is very bullish today after its cancer drug Imbruvica beat a rival cancer drug in a clinical trial.Longby ChristopherCarrollSmithUpdated 18
ABBV ParabolicABBV has formed a parabolic uptrend, with the presence of a falling wedge, which has led to a major bullish breakout, however still within the parabolic trend range. MACD also indicates a reversal taking place.by Bixley667
ABBV Update: Came out nicelyI would close this trade at this point if I were swing trading. If you bought in in the green support area from august, it would have been about a 35-40% gain on this one. by infbp222
ABBV 60%L 40%SWaiting for confirmation - trend break. just my interpretation. (not advice) hoping to go long. Target of 97.9by UnknownUnicorn20648113

ABBV FB2Far distant test,Reaching a strong mirror lvl ,penetration with a paranormal bar, closing above lvl, if will open above lvl and will move down, entering buy stp lmt order . Waiting for a false break with 2 bars formation. Early, i thought there was a lvl , but the stock didn`t stop there, so i see reasonable,to short it from this pointShortby Taras_Loboda3
ABBV wants us to go shortif this stock will move to the next mirror lvl, i will re-enter , the nxet lvl is much stronger, but, hovewer i see my signal to short it now - i will do it also.Shortby Taras_LobodaUpdated 3
After a brutal 17 months, things looking up for ABBVReally nice reversal in ABBV over the past 2+ months. Rose through descending channel resistance AND ascending trendline resistance, then re-tested support and took off. It's probably due for a breather, but I'd be a buyer if it re-tests support once more around $74.Longby NickWA6
Going Into Earnings With A Cup-N-Handle Breakout Under It's BeltFor more on ABBV see notes in Related IdeasLongby Ron-V9
This Dividend Aristocrat Has Seemingly Been Overlooked !Check out this overlooked Cup-n-Handle breakout. The moving averaged are looking good to; this could turn out to be a real winner.Longby Ron-V889
ABBV looking to continue it's upside crawlIn full disclosure I have an open position in this name and will look to add another position on break over the 200 MA. As you can see I've drawn in a pennant that just broke to the upside today, 10/17. I'd keep a tight stop on a new entry at $72.80 at first, then after it's a few $$ in profit I'd trail it with the 200 MA. I'll treat any addition to my position as a completely new trade. A word of additional caution, there was a gap not yet filled back in June. This could act as additional resistance. I have a core position for the dividend which at this point is worth a 5.7% yield (my cost basis in the core position is much lower so my yield is about 6.5%). I'll wait for this stock to recover into the $100 range. (Too much info, LOL) Target on this trade $82.00. Ideas, not trading advice.Longby jaxdogUpdated 1
Abbvie brakes 200SMA ABBV is currently breaking the 200sma, ending a 14 month downtrend. On the next days I will be tracking the next tools: OBV should trend higher to confirm this new uptrend. It still has not done that. 3 candlestick closes above the 200SMA would also be a confirmation signal. by dorfmanmaster1
$ABBV Short PositionFor the public record -- I've taken a short position on $ABBV this morning at $74.32 My reasons are technical, and not sociopolitical, but are too complex to describe on one chart, so I'll not attempt to do so. My opinions and actions are not recommendations to buy or sell any stock, bond, ETF, commodity, or any other financial instrument.Shortby DharanaUpdated 6
ABBV - Buy Position @68.00 Setup Great Buy Position @68 flat. Great yield, great risk to reward ratio. Unfortunately the correction might be cause by the dividend payout, so will finish after the divided payment. Great Investing Entry Point, No TRADE!by mmonterrosa6
ABBV - Strong Buy!I dream to see the formation of the right shoulder. If will give-I will buy without hesitation. The asset is charged powerfully for growth. The wave analysis also gives a good hope to see a decrease within the 2nd wave of growth and, as a consequence, the formation of the right shoulder. Note that the largest volume falls on the 3rd wave, which is one of the main indicators of determining the sub-wavesLongby breaktrooper16
