I been trading this stock for over a year now and once it form it's base, it usually hold itself very well in it's pattern.
we could've easily scalped this stock multiple time this month for easy gain if you just buy the dip at the trend line with a tight stoploss.

GILD - Bullish tunnel + triangle - buy at the bottomThe chart explains it all.
the market keeps raising against all odds in the middle of this world pandemic, ignoring all data and indicators... Why shorting then?
Buy the bottom of the tunnel sell at mid range before it gets to the danger zone and bounce back again

- price at the bottom of the tunnel
- price riding the EMA 50
- good buying risk reward
This will keep bouncing until it completes the triangle and break free
GILD longAssumption: GILD is entering into new ascending trend. In trends it is good to buy on local corrections. Now is the time to go long on this stock (I mean long - for like 2 years hold, not two days or weeks, not options). I assume it will reach 125$ within the first leg of the move (max 2.5 years, but could come sooner).
Rationale:
End of January GILD entered into a stable but extremely choppy trend (weekly ADX confirms price increase) with a high volatility (about 5% daily avg), with a triangle-like consolidation from march till mid of april finished with a nice breakout (the gap of 17.april) where also a resistance has been confirmed (~86$). Triangle breakout potential has not been reached yet (~90$).
Now after gap has been filled and resistance confirmed once more (30.04) - GILD is back to testing support at 74.4-76.3$.
The decline since 30.04 is accompanied by a declining daily ADX, so to be treaded as corrective by nature.
Perhaps now is a good moment to go long, assuming this is just a return move to the broken resistance (triangle) to confirm support.
From trend perspective - daily ADX has been falling and now is very low (9), which means a significant move is imminent (both downside or upside in near term).
Longer term, a significant upwards move is emerging, as monthly ADX started rising from low levels of 15, together with increasing price, thus confirming direction.

Remdesivir may help GILD breakout from multi-year range-bound pattern, however giving the limited income from it in the short-term, I would reckon we don't break out.

U.S. FDA approved Gilead Sciences Inc.’s experimental antiviral drug, remdesivir, for use as it’s showing good signs of helping hospitalised patients recover more quickly from Corona Virus.
From a Trend Analysis perspective - price action has been very choppy with lots of buying and selling in an almost Up-trending consolidation.
We expect Gilead to push higher with this recent news coupled with it Beating Earning Expectations for Q1 2020. This stock isnt a value stock with a PE of 18x and a Price to Book of 4x but it isn't overly expensive considering its growth potential (PEG 5yr 0.57).

GILD Analysis ||| it's a short term buy (2-5 months)The GILD price fold into the inside pitchork channel on the long term. This signal a long term downtrend, which does not serve visionary long term investment.
However, for the intermediate term analysis. GILD price follow channel patter as is in the second channel. Despite the extraordinary selling volume, the price found a strong support at 75$.
GILD next TP needs to be positioned at 89$.
If the price breaks the 89$ resistance with momentum, the next TP is at 103$.
Gilead Sciences LongA medical tech company know for different drugs but currently it is making Remdesivir. In studies it shows it helps covid-19 recovery. Based on breaking and closing above resistance today we would go back to 110

The company has announced of their drugs and the highest spec ability and then some scandals appeared that the drugs don't treat the disease which led to the stock to fill downhill From $83 to $75 . And after that we can see some kind of Recovery when the company announced that it was misinformation and it doesn't relate to the drugs treatment .
And now they are in the process of releasing a new drug, basically we do not care if the drug will be successful or not we care about how the stock will react to the news , and we have a high chance for the stock due to the company's spikeability in the past .
