PM forming a cup?Long term idea here is that PM forming a multi-year cup and with a hopeful view a handle at some point.
At the moment it's certainly facing resistance at the same point as it has about 6 times (even more if you go back more than 5 years), so this is a significant price point to get through.
So in the very near-term I suspect the most likely scenario is either pullback to the 'cup' trendline... or another bash at resistance with rejection... either way the price is likely going to consolidate before any big move up.

PM over 91.32Cigarette manufacturers have seen some strength recently alongside dividend stocks. PM does not benefit from the same rumors MO does (entrance into the marijuana market) but still looks primed to break out of this rounding bottom base. Recent highs of 91.32 should provide a strong entry.

PM 50%This week I've been watching my scans for signals that fit my strategy. I have not yet seen potential trades that fit my strategy; bullish nor bearish.
Today I got two signals that fit my criteria on NYSE:PM and NASDAQ:LRCX ; shorts. PM is looking to hold a 50% level. LRCX is setting up a potential double top. I'm not yet sure of the market sentiment coming into this year. Shorts in a bull market are obviously a low probability. These two are going to serve as test cases to watch from the sidelines. Depending on if they work or not I will have my first clue of 2021.

We have technical figure Triangle in US company Philip Morris International Inc. (PM) at daily chart. Philip Morris International Inc. is an American multinational cigarette and tobacco manufacturing company, with products sold in over 180 countries. The most recognized and best selling product of the company is Marlboro. The Triangle has broken through the resistance line at 05/12/2020, if the price holds above this level we can have possible bullish price movement with forecast for the next 11 days towards 83.87 USD. Our stop loss order should be placed at 75.69 USD if we decide to enter this position.

The Dutch competition watchdog said it had fined four major tobacco makers including Philip Morris and British American Tobacco a total of 82 million euros ($95.7 million) for “distorting competition.”
- In a statement, the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) said the four had illegally exchanged information about future pricing plans in the 2008-2011 period.

Tobacco got hammered today. Tobacco also pays out a 6.55% DivTough day for PM holders.
Once we see the price reversal would serve well to look for a point to long again.
