S1 trade ideas
Sprint back to before T Mobile!Sprint is looking like a perfect opportunity to make a lot off of a short. It is getting investigated for not protecting customer data, and will potentially pay millions in fines, and it is getting negatively affected by coronavirus.
If you find my ideas helpful, please give me a like and a follow. Thanks!
Sprint is certainly sprinting for $9.00With the recent merge of Sprint and T-Mobile, we watched the stock pump 70% after-hours. Yesterday I decided I'd be a bit more patient with Sprints movement, only entering with a semi-small account at $8.28 (at time of publish, up $.4856 per share). I than used this to determine likely movement to today and decided to buy call a few hundred contracts with a strike of $9 by Feb. 14th, although I wasn't entering this trade thinking I'd stick around. Within about 2 hours I had reached my target and decided to pull out. Sprint looks like it most definitely can push above $9, waiting for the breakout of this bilateral triangle (meaning prices can dive either way). As I come to the end of writing this, I've decided to re-enter if we can breakout before the market closes.

Sprint: Triangle bullish break-out. Aiming above $15.00.Following the merger approval, Sprint hit our short term target zone of of 6.10 - 6.25 much sooner than expected as shown on the chart below:
Our attention now shifts towards a much more long term time frame, as the stock broke above its multi year Triangle on the 1W chart, with the RSI crossing above the 70.000 mark for the first time since February 2017 (RSI = 71.642).
The 1W MA50 was also crossed and with the RSI pattern resembling the 2016 run, we have formed the modelled the next Target Zone at 15.80 - 19.00.

And the AT&T now is actually Southern Bell

$S Is A Smart Long-Term PlayWe believe the bottom is in on $S. While the stock won't give you huge returns overnight, we think $S will keep climbing at a nice, steady pace. If you're a long-term investor, that's all that matters. $S will run into some strong headwinds at $6.50, but if it clears that hurdle, the sky is the limit. With Softbank as $S largest shareholder and its upcoming merger with T-Mobile, we believe $S is a smart long-term bet.

Hey InvestmentCoachChris everybody. Don’t forget to visit www.investmentcoachchris.com
Look at the end of the day you have the opportunity to buy a piece of a company that’s going to eventually go up to the question is just when.I think if you’re looking to get a cheap two dollar stock that could be as high as $10 in the next few years you know that’s not a bad investment if you don’t have a better pic that being said we’re always looking for a best deals possible
Sprint: On a possible bottom. Conditions for buy.Sprint posted a strong rebound yesterday as it found Support on the 4.80 - 4.70 Zone. At the moment it is still on a strong 6-month Channel Down (1W RSI = 34.548, MACD = -0.393, ADX = 48.905, Highs/Lows = -0.4078) but the conditions for a long term bullish reversal may have already started to emerge.
The strongest bullish confirmation would be a break above the 1D MA50. As you see on the chart that would coincide with a cross over of the Lower High trend line of the 6 month Channel Down (dashed line). Additionally the RSI may be repeating the bottom sequence of early 2018.
If the 1D MA50 gets crossed, we will buy targeting the 6.10 - 6.25 Zone.

Short On $S Just Hit New Milestone: Penny StockWell... it finally happened. Sprint NYSE:S TMUS is now on everyone's list of penny stocks after this week. Shares dropped below $5 on Thursday and firmly closed near its low of the day on Friday. Next week will be interesting to see closing arguments to the opposition so this could either be a blowout or a blow-up.
"On Friday, a Washington, D.C. federal court set January 24 as the deadline for briefs in its Tunney Act proceeding. According to its definition, the Tunney Act, 'requires federal courts to review each consent decree in civil antitrust cases filed by the DOJ to ensure that the remedy proposed in the consent is in the public interest.'
Two US agencies already rubber-stamped the deal but the multiple state attorneys general in several states have gone against the grain. Closing arguments in these lawsuits are scheduled for Wednesday. If the states win, the Tunney review is basically a wash. However, if the companies come up with a “W,” there could be a chance the two respective executive teams will work towards swift close to the transaction."

The Short Call Is Still Bullish HereBrought to my attention in this article last week: Is Sprint Corporation (S) At Risk Of Becoming A Penny Stock?
Several valid points on this front, namely how Sprint continues to "F" up and find something to blame it one but themselves. I'm surprised TMUS is still entertaining this at the bid price they said. I would think that it would probably be much less considering the red tape and issues that have come up over the years, including this year.
"It’s unfortunate but according to several sources, Sprint has “for years failed to accurately measure” the number of low-income Americans it services. This is specific to the federal plan called the “Lifeline Program,” which offers communication services at an affordable price for low-income consumers. It essentially gives discounts for monthly phone service as well as internet access and even VOIP services. These all need to be purchased from a participating provider who, in turn, is granted subsidies for participating. Now, the FCC won’t let Sprint be."
Quote source from the article cited above. I'm cautious on S right now especially after looking into things myself. Not giving any advice here at all but there are way more negatives for me on this than positives. Even if they can clean up their act, what's to say it won't happen again like it has multiple times already? The real losers here are shareholders and TMobile (if they're locked into this deal).
Thoughts?
SPRINT - DAILY CHARTHi, today we are going to talk about Sprint Corp and its current landscape.
Sprint Corp enters in the spotlight of the market as T- Mobile has announced that John Legere will leave the seat of CEO of the company, been replaced by Mike Sievert in April 2020. The former CEO that has been leading the company since 2012 will remain a member of the board. Its replacement Mike Sievert is the current president and chief operating officer (COO). The transaction period seems set to be smooth as Legere will assist with the acquisition process of its rival company Sprint, that it's controlled by Softbank that also holds control of WeWork, where Legere its quoted to be the new CEO.
