Whirlpool of DividendsAm I crazy to be looking at a manufacturing play right now considering the tariff trade wars going on? The stock right now has a forward dividend yield of 8.65% at the current price with a technical setup. There are fundamentals around tariffs to consider but that could only be the "reason" the price has come to a great buy.
I set an alert almost a year ago in April 2024 based on a follower of mine liking the stock NYSE:WHR as a dividend play. I suggested that we set the buy alert for the Volume Profile level going back 20 years ago which also incorporated the 2020 COVID low:
That alert his this week and I did some fundamental research on the company. Back in 2018 Whirlpool took a big hit with the first round of China focused tariffs. However, the company responded by focusing on more U.S.-based manufacturing. Its competitors, LG and Samsung have more tariff exposure. Material costs could still present a challenge.
From a technical standpoint I see a major low with volume support that could hold up price.

Very high levels of new inventory in Apartments. I know this because I am a corporate landlord in Seattle, WA.
I get to study and see this data for work in order to predict demand/supply levels and therefor predict rental prices.
In my area/across cities in the US, there is a huge spike in new apartment buildings hitting the market at once. What do new apartments need? Appliances.
Watch for this earnings and there forecast's of earnings.
WHR a true reflection of our Economy in a declineWHR Why is it a true reflection it is simple it is washing machines dryers dish washer refrigerators The real things we all buy .This economy is about to see what is underlining issues of too much debt and the need to tax every one more . Simply put I stand by we have entered The last phase of the asset bubble thru inflating money in the misuse by the US treasury NO ONE WANTS our BONDS due to inflated assets she has been funding it in the TBILLS . some of you have hear of martin Armstrong most have not his work and my own are pointing towards march I said a lot about march 6 to the 20th . The central banks are pumping to hold it up . I can say based on the past this is not going to end WELL
Double Bottom SpeculativePossible double bottom formed on WHR- confirmed after passing HKEX:160 via volume/3 day rule etc. There is a very high probability that the pattern tests 162 area but also a good chance that it retreats from there. SP currently sitting near 61.8% retrace from 2021 highs to 2020 lows implying a demand zone.
Currently has div yield of 5.17% at a payout ratio of only 41.15 and a decent 5 year growth rate ( for the mkt cap of company) of 9.73%.
WHR's Fwd GAAP PE is less than 18.42% of the sector's. EV/EBITDA TTM is 3% below sector's, but 31.8% above WHR's 5 year avg. WHR's Shiller PE ratio range over last 10 years is 8.74 to a max of 30, so its currently below mid-range at 15.4.
However WHR is susceptible to macro economic headwinds. There is a good chance that even a mild recession combined with WHRs recent deterioriating fundamentals causes the current intermediate pattern to fail and brings price down to a new demand zone near $100.
WHR seems like it may be a good deal and has some short term technical characteristics in its favor but the odds seem in favor of the price falling further- Be cautious and consider averaging in over time if you do start a posit.
WHR-BEARISH SCENARIOWhirlpool Corporation is committed to being the best global kitchen and laundry company, in constant pursuit of improving life at home. In an increasingly digital world, the company is driving purposeful innovation to meet the evolving needs of consumers through its iconic brand portfolio.
WHR is slated to release first-quarter 2023 results on Apr 24, after the closing bell. The household appliance company is expected to have witnessed revenue and earnings declines in the to-be-reported quarter.
Whirlpool has been on track with cost-based price increases to protect margins and productivity amid the ongoing supply-chain constraints and significant inflationary pressures. The company has been implementing cost takeout actions, including curtailing structural and discretionary costs, capturing raw material deflation opportunities, effectively managing working capital, and syncing supply chain and labor levels with demand.
The next price target is located at $ 125

For education purposes - Whirpool Technical AnalysisThis is a stock that I don’t invest it and won’t as I am not confident it meets Shariah compliance but wanted to share my technical analysis of it for educational purposes. The stock has dropped more than 48% since its previous all-time high in May 2021. The stock has been trending downwards in a channel and has reached an important support level since 2013 at around $129. A double bottom is forming (still to be confirmed) while RSI is in oversold territory and showing divergence as well, so we have alot of confluences at the current level.
Let me know if interested in further analysis on some stocks you’re watching.
Thanks
WHR Starting to Move LowerI see an Inverted cup and handle pattern here for WHR. Next target is 137 based on Fibonacci retracement levels. I expect more downside once WHR touches 137 support. With a medium term outlook, my technical analysis suggests a sizable fall in price for WHR. 110 a share seems likely within the next 12 months. This is not trading advice just my prediction on WHR price action.
When the public wakeupWhen the public wake up, the bear will arrive and stay.
The company started to produce very low quality products a few years ago, and it has greatly increased sales as a result.
Whirlpool, owner of Brastemp and Consul, is absolutely hated in the US and also in Brazil. If you have any doubts, go to googlemaps and write whirlpool and see the reviews, then look for the tecbras company that assists brastemp and consul.
The story is like this: producing garbage, which breaks down in a short time, with the policy of selling extended warranties and selling garbage to those who are not willing to pay, they are filling the market with bad products. So much is a purposeful pattern, that the assistance is terrible and not the bill, and aiming to tire consumers to assume the loss, they have the minimum legal to say they have assistance, but with the sole purpose of playing the loss to consumers.
Look in the forums, and you will find that the image of Brastemp and Consul is absolutely degraded and negative nowadays, except because they have no ethics whatsoever and exclude complaints from the networks. But it's not like that with American social networks, nor on Brazilian Instagram> I recommend this one, see the overwhelming majority of hateful consumers.
With a bad brand, bad products, the company will stop selling, and at some beautiful moment, not far from now, it will plummet quickly, and will never rise again. We just don't know what time it is. So if you are a daytrader, ok, take advantage. But if you are an intelligent person and aware that it is a mafia, malicious and negative company, and that it has a bleak future due to a super malicious administration, you would choose to invest in other shares of companies that do not treat their customers as disposable garbage. , in an absolute indifference and disrespect.
I insist: research Whirlpool's reputation; Mainly in American forums!!!! And on Brazilian instagram!!! @Consul and @Brastemp!!! These highs are because of recent misleading sales, the tide will turn and will not rise any further.
If you don't believe it, not even with all the public evidence I've pointed out, well, it's because you would actually sell someone in the family to make money (remember that someone in your family will buy it and still be angry with these brands).

Jump on for the WHR recoveryThis stock has been moving well in the past few days, with the general consensus being that Whirlpool will do well because people need to buy fridges and other appliances for all the new homes that are being built. This is a momentum play looking at contracts about 2 weeks into the future.
Of course, I am not a financial advisor. Play at your own risk.
300 price target? Technically, the chart shows potential for a $300 price target. Fundamentally, low interest rates and the hit housing market is keeping the customers lined up for new appliances. Downside for the stock, copper and steel prices must be eating into this companies bottom line and rising interest rates could hurt the stock as well.
