The relationship between interest rates in infrastructure stocksA little perspective here, the infrastructure buildout seems to be feeling interest rate increases. Here is an index chart built around four stocks CLF, CAT, XLE, and FCX, with the basket divided by the 10 year yield. The August 2020 peak is evident. Updated now.by tradingbearPublished 3

CLF bear call credit spreadCLF bear call credit spread CLF rallied hard into alert line at VPOC 19.72 supply RBD higher timeframe daily zone. Looks like the proximal edge was tested already Apr 27 so a test of VPOC is next logical place that sellers may resume selling again. Spike high is above 20.80 and I sold the 21 calls 10 DTE, and got 20%. I had an order resting limit for hours at .10 for 22% and it wouldn't fill. Then then selloff price during lunch, I drop my offer to 0.09 and it fills, only to have it rally again after lunch. WTF!!!!! I think my broker is f*cking with my orders. Either way, my fault, should've been more subborn on my price. They got me. So not an ideal entry, but it satisfies my minimum credit and safety parameters. Market must make a new high and hold it there through expiration. If they can do that, then they did a lot of work to come get me. I anticipate sellers at this 20 RBD zone to come back in and push back down to 18.50.Shortby claypuzzlePublished 110

CLF (Cleveland-Cliffs Inc) - LongCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is an iron ore mining company primarily in the United States. The company is a supplier of iron ore pellets to the North American steel industry from our mines and pellet plants located in Michigan and Minnesota. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, formerly known as Cliffs Natural Resources Inc., is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm not super-optimistic on this one as I am with other trades, but still see some growth/gains here over the quarter. Significant sales growth, and strong EPS Quarter-on-Quarter gives me cause to be Bullish. I expect a move to the MID-POINT and from here would protect profits with a trailing stop-loss as downside (if it happens) could be to lows of around 11. Heiken Ashi already positive and fast MACD already crossed showing early potential on uptrend. Do your own research and good luck! Remember to 'LIKE' and comment, thank you.Longby kennzoPublished 0
CLF nice chart great management I sold the June 17.5 cash secured puts. This represents 1% of portfolio assets as the potential full loss. This was a mistake. I should have doubled that position size. Excellent company consolidating the steel industry. Infrastructure spend is not if but how large. Managers are beyond competent. CEO is the best in this industry. Buffett once stated that no investment which requires calculus should be done. I disagree. all investments require some calculus. the economy the foreign steel dumpers the cost of raw materials rising or later moderating the price of steel going forward and into different industries Nothing is certain. I am net long with CLF and will stay there.. I think the trend is worth following. A trend following strategy works with anything. The most important thing I've discovered is choosing what to trend trade. I like this management and this industry at this time. all the best...Longby Spotshooter1983Updated 552
CLF LONG.CLF LONG. My analysis highlights a useful entry technique. This is the 3-point ATR axis touch. This technique focuses on the 3-point touch. Whether it is done on ATR axis or local axes is a secondary issue. In the case of the CLF, the ATR axis touch seems to be explained at the moment. The rule is, if a movement stalls three times at a certain level, there is a good chance that it can no longer cross. In our analysis we can see that the price movement bounced upwards from the ATR axes three times. This means that we can expect a strong uptrend in the future. It is not part of the current rule system, however, I note that the second ATR axis is steeper. On the one hand, this means that the volatility of CLF is increasing, and on the other hand, it means that its rise could accelerate. So, the rising wave sequence (second) shown in the figure will reach the next target price (25.76usd) faster by meszarosPublished 229
CLF Earnings 4/22, is it priced in?Recently CLF has been bound by a triangle with support of around $17.30. It's recently broken out and fell towards a decent trendline. If CLF bounced off my upper resistance trend line and the bottom of the support trendline, we'll have a very good bullish flag which is a continuation of CLF going upppp. Earnings is the perfect catalyst to cause a pre earnings run up to around $17.30 or higher and cause a sell off if it is priced in. $15.50 to $16 for me is the perfect buying range post earnings. I will probably open up a long position regardless of the price action actually, I'm very bullish on steel. I'm looking to see if CLF can retest the 200SMA on the 4hr if there is a post earnings dip. $CLF Inverse Head and Shoulders Pattern?$CLF may be an infrastructure play. It seems to be forming an inverse head and shoulders pattern. I'll be looking for it to break-out across the down trend line I've drawn and look for a logical entry. If I take the trade, my stop will be just below that same trend line for a well defined risk. From earningswhispers.com: Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) reported Quarter December 2020 earnings of $0.24 per share on revenue of $2.3 billion. The consensus earnings estimate was $0.28 per share on revenue of $2.3 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $0.29 per share. Revenue grew 322.4% on a year-over-year basis.
