More dip buying @ $29MP is at a critical support which is not just a trend line support, but also the 50MA. If the broader market weakness ends, I can see MP re testing the $50 high this year. Earnings later this month can be another possible catalyst, although I don't think positive earnings will be enough if market is weak. RSI still has room to dip, so I wouldn't be loading up here if you want to average in. If you don't hold a position though, great price to start at. If the sell off continues today, I see a great opportunity to dollar cost average at $28-29. MP is a great hold in my opinion, and has played beautifully with my previous price targets -- although a few weeks later than I expected (but eventually crossing my original price target of 42!) Rare earths becoming even more rarer - technicals bullishNews headlines are indicating greater trade tensions with China as they have reported tightening up their export/supply of rare earth metals to the U.S. The Biden administration is kicking into high gear the ability for the U.S. to supply and source its own rare earth metals to meet the demand of the growing tech/EV sectors. MP broke a critical resistance of its previous $40 high to reach ATHs today. The daily chart has a showing a "cup" formation and the MACD has crossed over for a bullish divergence buy signal. We are long and strong. Next target: $57 based on the 100% trend-based fib extension target.

Long MP Materials to 200% and aboveLargest source of rare earth metals in America. Rare earths are a critical input into critical climate change, EVs/battery technologies in general. This company is also likely to receive a lot of government support over time due to massive expected demand for rare earths and to decrease US's reliance on China for rare earth material. In the long term I believe this can go to $100. Find out more about this company here www.youtube.com PT 1: $48 PT 2: Above $60 It has a fairly obvious support at $28.5 in the descending triangle pattern but I wouldn't panic even if it drops below it. This industry has very strong tailwinds. As they are approaching their next earnings call in March, I expect good forward guidance and a breakout to the upside of the pattern.
