Top 5 Weekly Trade Ideas #2 - QQQ S/R Flip + Trend TestQQQ is similar to SPY/ES as usual. The $485 level has proven to be important, bulls have been holding it on every retest since it broke above last week. In addition we have a minor downtrend that could lead to a breakout, but also have the ascending channel/wedge. The trendlines may help determine direction, but 485 is the most important to me and is the simplest way to approach this trade. Bullish above, bearish below. First downside target would a previous low around 479, upside target would be last week's high or the top end of its wedge.

Implied move is between 481-488, and the next day’s is much wider so definitely look out for those strikes since we’re above the top of the implied move right now with where futures take it so be careful if we open elevated and don’t get back into the implied move right away, that’s a squeeze setup right there. Also pay attention that it’s a gap up right into a bear gap so expect a bit of a fight here. Don’t forget Powell speaks today in the morning and we have GDP both of which could bring that down, but if we stay elevated be careful of a squeeze. QQQs Break Above Unique High Level On Moderate VolumeAnother sign the markets are attempting to break away from sideways/topping patterns is today's closing price on the QQQs. Today's close above the Unique Fibonacci Price Theory High suggests the QQQs are attempting to break away from the Excess Phase Peak pattern and will likely attempt to move up into the 501-502 price range. Remember, the first rule of Fibonacci Price Theory is Price must always attempt to reach new higher highs or lower lows. When it fails to make a lower low, it must roll over and attempt to reach a new higher high. In this case, as we neared to top of the Excess Phase Peak pattern, the Ultimate High, price would either fail to make a new higher high (and attempt to roll downward) or it would break to a new higher high (thus confirming price is still in a Rally Phase). Today's close means my analysis of the general markets moving into a "cleared for takeoff" rally phase is starting to become much more valid. We have broken above the Ultimate High on the QQQs with moderate volume. Now, we should expect the QQQs to attempt to move higher - toward the 501-502 level. $QQQ Analysis, Key Levels & Targets for Day Traders for Sept 25 Ok, so I can’t make a video tonight :( My Wifi is down in my neighborhood because they are putting new lines in, and to make matters worse there’s a hurricane coming this way so it won’t likely be fixed until it passes so I can only do as much work as my hotspot will allow So we are at a pretty strong resistance level here at 485. You can’t see it on the screen here but if you zoom back you can see that 485 was resistance in July and August as well. Just above that we have a bear gap that goes to just under ATH’s that we made in July so if bears are hiding anywhere it’s going to be in that gap. The implied move for tomorrow is between 481 to 489, the 30 day average volatility is between 477 to 493, and the implied move on Thursdays contract is between 480-491. I have been selling 1dollar wide spreads at the next days implied move but on this days contract. That has been working well for me for a while now.
