BRLARS Brazilian Real ARSBrazil’s Ibovespa stock index lost 0.8% to close around 117,930 on Monday, as investors cautiously awaited inflation data in Brazil and the US, as well as the start of the second quarter earnings season later this week. Meanwhile, the release of softer-than-expected consumer and producer price data from China has rekindled concerns about slowing global growth. On the domestic front, the latest "Focus survey" revealed 2023 inflation forecasts were cut for the eighth consecutive week to 4.95% from 4.98% a week before; while the GDP growth projection remained unchanged at 2.19%. Among single stocks, the biggest losses were posted by Lojas Renner (-6.3%), VIA (-4.2%), Magazine Luiza (-4.1%).
