Ford valuation looks greatA New Product Shows Ford Is Finally Taking Electric Seriously Ford just announced the release of its Lightning all-electric F150, due 2022. Available at essentially the same price point ($39,974) that Tesla has advertised for its Cybertruck, due late 2021. A Ford rep dropped this little bomb on Tesla's triangle-shaped Cybertruck in a media interview: “Our customers told us they want something modern and advanced, but did not want their truck to look like a doorstop or a spaceship.” Boom. The new F150 does look a lot better than the doorstop, and it has some cool features. Instead of an engine under the hood, it has a spacious storage space there, which they're calling a "frunk." The frunk has a 400-pound capacity and four 110-volt power outlets and two USB charging outlets. There's a total of 11 outlets on the truck. Whereas Tesla will void your warranty if you try to power your home with your car battery, the F150 outlets are specifically designed to serve as backup power (9.6 kW and 3 days worth of power) for your home. If your F150 is plugged in and an outage occurs, your F150 will automatically switch to providing power to your home. Wow. You do have to buy an extra 80-amp wall box and home power system to make that work, though. The wall box also increases range and charging speed. For charging away from home, Ford has a North American charging network with more than 63,000 plugs. These will charge an extended range F150 from 15 to 80 percent in about 41 minutes. The standard-range truck has a range of 230 miles, while the extended-range truck can go 300 miles. The F150 offers hands-free highway driving to compete with Tesla's autonomous driving features. The Valuation on Ford is Insane Most of the "cheap" companies out there are trading at a price to free cash flow ratio around 7 or 8. Ford is trading at 2 P/FCF, making it cheaper on that basis than just about any other company I follow. Forward P/E is around 12, with P/S at 0.38 and P/B at 1.46. Get this: according to Fidelity, the 5-year PEG ratio for Ford is 0.25. 0.25 !!!! Ford has also been crushing analyst estimates on recent earnings reports. Sentiment is Strong Ford has an 8.8/10 analyst score and an 85/100 fundamentals score from S&P Global. Ford's ESG score leaves a little something to be desired, but maybe that will improve as the company electrifies. Put/call ratio is bullish at 0.66. Technicals look good. On the monthly chart, moving averages are pointing upward, and price is sitting right atop the 200-month EMA. Similar story on the daily. We popped through a resistance line the last few days. I am buying any dip to the 20- or 50-day EMA. Weekly recently made a 50-200 bullish moving average cross: With news, valuation, sentiment, and technicals all lined up, I bought both shares and a couple long-dated 2023 calls at the $12 strike, because YOLO.Longby ChristopherCarrollSmithUpdated 383830

Ford is the new Tesla, long to $80Price is looking like it wants to retest the top of this trading range at $19. If it breaks, Ford is going to Mars. The market's trend has been bullish on companies moving to electric vehicles. Reference $NIO and $TSLA. Ford making this move and going "All in" on electric vehicles is respectfully in my opinion, uber-bullish. Technical analysis: RSI in bullish territory on the weekly. Record level volume. Great support tap off the heartline of this trading range. All signs lead to higher prices. I am long here. This is not financial advice, I am an ape. Something also to note. Tesla's market cap is 600 billion, while Ford's is 58 billion. Tons of upside potential for Ford if they do this electric vehicle thing right. Tesla cult members, the title is satirical, please do not kill me.Longby thejdela1110

Ford Breaking out.Ford is breaking out and i see this hitting 20 dollars maybe even 30. Daily chart shows a nice uptrend channel and the MACD is widening green. RSI is heading up in the overbought territory and a lot of volume for today. Interesting to see how tomorrow shapes up to be and see where it opens. If we can open above the line of resistance then that confirms the break of the line of resistance, and has potential to go higher. F150 electric looks nice and despite the mustang Mach E not looking great i still see alot of them out on the road. Ford has already announce there EV plans and I am starting to see alot of attention which is good. My price target on Ford is 50 dollars for the long term. Longby Dc13927
F Dot Com BubbleWHat's going on with retail reminds me of what happened with every stock during the Dot Com bubble. F valuation more than doubled and of course it tanked right back to where it belongs. While we're on the subject, F looks like it's got an inverted H&S pattern and might head back into bubble territory too. I do like the electric truck though.by hungry_hippo336

Ford - Down to $12 for Support!-Wall Street has high expectations for Ford Motor’s first investor day under CEO Jim Farley on Wednesday. -The company’s stock price has roughly doubled since Farley took control of the company on Oct. 1. That includes a 12.6% increase last week after the debut of the company’s new electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck. -Investors will be watching the highly anticipated investor event to see if Farley can keep up the momentum. He has promised to provide details his management team’s direction for the automaker. -Farley’s predecessor, Jim Hackett, was criticized by Wall Street for failing to detail his turnaround plan and having an unclear vision to fix Ford’s operations. Farley’s plan will have to be detailed to appease Wall Street. -“Since Jim Farley has taken over as CEO, Ford has promised increased transparency and measurable so we can track Ford’s progress and execution,” RBC Capital Markets analyst Joseph Spak said in a note. “We expect those, along with financial targets, to be detailed at the event.” -One of the main targets analysts want to see is a long-promised 8% global adjusted profit margin target, including 10% in North America and 6% in Europe. The 8% was promised by Hackett as well as his predecessor, Mark Fields, as part of a “2020 vision” that never happened. -Before the coronavirus pandemic, Ford’s adjusted profit margin was 4.1% in 2019, followed by 2.2% in 2020. Due to an imbalance of supply and demand in new vehicles due to an ongoing global semiconductor chip shortage, it was inflated to 13.3% during the first quarter of this year. -For comparison, General Motors’ adjusted profit margin was 6.1% in 2019, 7.9% in 2020 and 13.6% during the first quarter of this year. Wells Fargo analyst Colin Langan expects Ford to reaffirm its long-term margins at the event, and mostly focus on the “future mobility themes” such as electric and autonomous vehicles and data monetization.Longby caldooninvestment242417
