RCL in a long term downward trendLooking at the past two years of charts for RCL (one of my favorite stocks, also a cruise line member, nice little perk if you own 100 shares on each trip).
So charting this out taking out the noise of March 2020 we are in a downward channel, but it is not a very steep downward channel which is comforting.
Looking for buying opportunities at the bottom of the channel and then waiting to see price action at the top of the channel. Very careful on the buys right now given the pressure on the entire market at the moment, and also the amount of debt that the leisure travel industry has on it at the moment.

RIP Royal CarribeanA real life friend who I have known since I was 19 messes with the stock market texted me, kind of laughing saying a friend of hers has high hopes for RCL. The guy is clueless. I pulled up the chart and realized right away, tell him to say goodbye to his money and wow, what a great short! So thats what I am doing. See ya Royal.... my only thing is do I just wait till you are back in the 70s or do I take you further down. Well see my mood at the time. Hahaa. Later Royal!

It's time to reverse here with the gap being filled and prices between 11/24 and 12/22 and topping at $79.95. Carnival missed earnings and revenue estimates. Omicron was not felt yet in their quarterly report. The companies are taking on a big risk bringing ships back to service in the middle of a raging pandemic. Customers may happily scoop up cabins for $33 per night, but may be upset when they are quarantined for 24 hour stretches, or cannot exit the ship at regular ports of call. Expect cash burn to be high and customers to be dissatisfied.
