Confirmed double top in SBUXNASDAQ:SBUX Cannot help seeing bearish, trend reversal structures everywhere.. now in SBUX WHY - nicely formed double top and unlike double top in AAPL this one is formed - broad market seems to be topping - very nice divergence in indicators - bearish engulfing on W HOW - short stock with a tight stop - consider options on a lower timeframes (1H,4H) on the way down TARGET - 0.68 Fibo of the previous move up on M supported by 200MA ENTRY - immediate on W chart as the rest of the market is about to turn down

SBUX - Basis reductionSo I usually try to do a little basis reduction on some long term holdings or divvy holds in the long term accounts. SBUX had some high vol, so I went out to June to sell some puts around what appears to be support. I will usually take these trades for 50% of profit and run like a thief in the night. I don't have a full 100 shares, but my goal is to over time, reduce the cost of these shares down so much that they are "free" trades and just collect dividends. This does not happen without taking this extra risk, however. Short June15 $52.50 put for $1.17. Delta: 25 POP: 74% Stop loss: - $50ish level (which I will likely just roll). Target - 50% credit received. I bought this set of shares, original basis of $55.80. Through my first options play, it reduced my basis down to $52.43. This play (if successful) would further reduce my basis down to $45.13. At SBUX current dividend, this would give me a yield on cost of 2.66%, even though if you had bought today, you would receive around 2.12%. It does not seem like much, but over the course of time and proper management, you can really make an impact with large numbers.

BUCKY'S!!! - STARBUCKS PRICE FORECASTING.Starbucks a business which is very close to my heart, seeing that I have it almost everyday. Let's get down to business. Estimated Earnings was 0.57, however actual earnings was 0.65 . If we're playing the traditional Earnings Game , we could anticipate a large appreciation. Going long on this stock prior to earnings, with this current effect would of left you hurt. I was in fact looking at this stock last week, I just didn't get around to posting it. I think that prices will eventually appreciate creating a LOWER HIGH at the 60.00 price region and a further depreciation is expected making a LOWER LOW . Of course, I believe that if prices however go up to the 60.00 region it also runs the risk of heading up to the 62.00 Region this could happen if prices pass the 60.00 zone with strong volume.
