Angola is Africa’s second largest oil producer. As such, oil production is the main sector of the economy, accounting for about 47 percent of total GDP, 98 percent of export earnings and 75% of government revenues. Within the non-oil sector, Wholesale and Retail Sales (21 percent of total output) and Agriculture and Fishery (10 percent) are the biggest. Other sectors include: Construction (7.7 percent), Other Sectors (7.2 percent ), Manufacturing (6 percent) and Diamonds (1 percent).
