Chile's economy relies heavily on exports of copper (45 percent of total sales). The most important non mineral exports are manufacturing (36 percent), chemicals (9 percent) and agriculture/livestock, forestry and fishing (7 percent). Main export partners are: China (40 percent of total sales), the United States (14 percent), Japan (8 percent), South Korea (6 percent) and Brazil (5 percent). Others include: the Netherlands, Peru, Taiwan and Mexico.
