Most of Poland's imports are capital goods needed for industrial retooling and for manufacturing inputs: machinery and transport equipment, intermediate manufactured goods, chemicals, minerals, fuels and lubricants. In 2017, Poland’s main import partners were: Germany (23 percent of total imports); China (12 percent); Russia (7 percent); Italy (5 percent); France, the Netherlands and Czech Republic (4 percent each); the US and Belgium (3 percent each); and the UK (2 percent).
