BMW make it or break it After the big hummer for german auto industry last year, we escaped downtrend. The recovery however is shaky and for the better part of the year we were under mid of the pitchform. Earnings might help BMW above the redline or break below the pitchfork range. Keeping an eye on general DAX preformance too. Good luck and happy trading.Longby vessovit1

BWM: Emission Scandal Likely To Cut Price Into HalfStory behind this trade is quite simple: Until today BWM denies to be involved in the collusion scandal about Germany's car makers. According to latest news this is not true. Short term BMW is facing massive problems with regulators and customers class action. Same time BMW is part of every investment strategy of large investors to cover Europe and/or Germany. This funds owned stocks are likely to be sold now. Same time Germany's car makers facing huge problems about missing electric powered cars - in large investors view. 2018 will tell the opposite story. BMW might become the first carmaker able to produce and to sell 1 Million battery powered cars in 2020. This might turn arround stockmarket price by 2018 and could push all German Auto makers and the DAX to unseen new highs by 2020. Same time Investors should focus next 12 month more on TSLA - even as M&A target. Shortby SwissViewUpdated 7
Bmw is a short - target 74 EuroBmw has a very good risk-reward ratio for a short opportunity. Increased volumes have been detected in correspondence with a bearish closing Marubozu. Price oscillator is moving below zero, giving confidence about the bearish cycle in place. Coppock curve is moving in a bearish modality as well. Clear target for our short strategy is 74 euro, which represents a strong horizontal support.Shortby SimoneSiestoUpdated 2

BMW - VW (Correlation)Comparing the BMW chart to the VW chart it is striking that both price developments are strongly correlated to each other. Given the current spread between the two price changes in percentage, determined by using the closing price of the first day after going public, subtracting it from the current stock price and then subsequently deviding it through the first closing price, this offers us to greatly take advantage of their correlation. Obviously, it is likely that both prices are going to cross again in the future which means that all we have to do is shorting the BMW stock and buying some VW stocks in order to benefit from the decreasing spread between both prices. If we now charge both positions with the same amount of money and then close them when prices cross again, we are going to end up with 16.43% in profit.Shortby Lucas_AschenbachUpdated 5
