Dresser Industries, Inc. was a supplier of products and services to industries involved in oil and gas production and transmission, petroleum refining and marketing and power generation. The petroleum products and services segment used to provide services and project management for oil and gas exploration, drilling, completion, production and transmission activities. In 1998, the company merged with its main rival, Halliburton, and is now known as Halliburton Co. On 10th April, 2001 the Dresser division (excluding the former Kellogg division) entered an agreement to separate itself once again from Halliburton by management purchasing its equity, the new company to be called Dresser, Inc. The company is headquartered in Dallas, TX.
