TransCanada is a leader in the responsible development and reliable operation of North American energy infrastructure. The company operates in three segments: Natural Gas Pipelines, Oil Pipelines, and Energy. The Natural Gas Pipelines segment operates regulated natural gas pipelines and regulated natural gas storage facilities. It owns and operates natural gas transmission in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This segment’s natural gas pipeline systems consist of a network of approximately 57,000 kilometers of wholly owned and operated natural gas pipelines, and approximately 11,500 kilometers of partially owned natural gas pipelines; and regulated natural gas storage facilities with a total capacity of approximately 250 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in Michigan.
