SOBA trade ideas
AT&T INC Levels and Zones to watch! I have finally decided to chart AT&T.
Looking for a deeper pull back into the 618 at the 27-29 range.
We have momentum slowly turning positive, with some buy signals stacking.
Were at the bottom of the bolly band with the failed false breakout of 3 years back into its proper wedge.
Lets see what happens. Dividends for all!
I want everyone to win!
Happy trading, debating and speculating!

T turns around down trend at supportT seems to have broken out of it's down trend after hitting a longstanding support of 32. Look for it to start climbing back up. It's resistance in the past months has been consistently at around 39-40 so for a longer-term purchase at around 25% gains, T looks like it's going to start heading that direction again.
AT&T Bullish butterfly before earnings!AT&T has been so weak to make a new low after the 2015.08.24 low!
The earnings report day is coming, there is a potential bullish butterfly about to be formed before 30.00 fig.
Of course, this trade requires a intraday reversal sign AFTER the earning report,
if going down after earnings but not breaking the 30.00 fig (Kinda a no-brainer SIZE over there)
and give a reversal sign there, that'll be a good chance to create a mid-term position for this dividend giant.
Let's see how it goes!!
AT&T at ~44% DiscountAT&T (T) may be a good value based position to add to portfolios.
Their current Debt levels of having increased over the last 5 years from 84.8% to 111.4% today is a bit concerning though the obligations are covered by operating cash flows by a factor of 23.9%.
The concerns about the debt levels can be offset by the positives of their stable dividend, currently around 6%, insider buying over the past 9 months of around $5mm worth of company stock, <60% institutional ownership of public shares, a P/E of 6.4x which is below their median multiplier around 15x as well as the telecom industry average P/E of 15.1x, and a healthy Price to Book multiplier of 1.3x.
I'll be adding AT&T to my portfolio in the coming weeks, planning to hold on to it for 3-5 years reinvesting dividends along the way to (hopefully) the $55 range.
AT&T (T) earnings preview: how strong is the balance sheet? As the U.S. wireless market matures, AT&T has pursued large acquisitions in order to grow and diversify revenue. First, with the DirecTV acquisition, AT&T aims to cross-sell video offerings with its wireless service in the hopes of reducing churn and extracting increased value out of its subscriber base through unique value propositions such as bundled offerings. Second, with the Time Warner (now known as WarnerMedia) acquisition, AT&T hopes vertical integration will provide both revenue synergies and cost efficiencies in content right negotiations.
The Department of Justice has filed an appeal against Judge Leon’s ruling to allow AT&T to acquire Time Warner (now known as WarnerMedia). When the merger was approved, AT&T agreed to keep WarnerMedia separate while the DOJ decided to appeal in order to avoid the DOJ filing for a stay that would have prevented the merger.

T US: Potential 30% upside to low 40'sAT&T is trading on a long-term uptrend yielding > 6% with heavy volume coming in; The set-up looks like an ascending triangle but that is a story for another day. The Time Warner acquisition and repeal of net neutrality is going to a major game changer for AT&T. Forget 5G, it is about content.
