GBPUSD Rally will Correct and ResumeThe Fed held rates at 4.50%, matching market expectations. Powell highlighted high uncertainty over the outlook, stressing that tariffs are a significant factor driving inflation expectations. Economic forecasts saw notable shifts: 2025 GDP growth was trimmed to 1.7% from 2.1%, while core PCE inflation was revised up to 2.8%. The US dollar weakened as the Pound surged, with GBPUSD touching a fresh 4‑month high. The concern amongst traders and myself is slowing growth and rising inflation. While the Fed holds rates steady, the USD will weaken, reflecting slower economic activity. I believe the GBPUSD rally will be short-lived since prices have rapidly increased. UPDATED ANALYSIS ON GBP/USDGBP/USD 1H - With this pair we have very similar thoughts to what we have on the EU pair. Rightly so with the USD being quote on both pairs, we want to see a breakdown in price. Now that price has broken structure to the downside breaking the last structural fractal low, it gives us some confluence that price is ready for a down move and the balance is in favour of Supply. In order for us to have confirmation however to short this market we must see price trade into the Supply Zone given, rejecting well and breaking structure for the second time but on the lower timeframes. This will confirm the end of the correction and the start of the next impulse lower. This giving us enough confluence to short this market longer term, setting our TP just above the last higher timeframe low.

GBP/USD Trend in US Session🔔🔔 🔔GBP/USD news: 👉According to the CME FedWatch tool, the Federal Reserve (Fed) is almost certain to keep interest rates unchanged in the 4.25%-4.50% range for the second consecutive time. As a result, the key driver for the US dollar will be the Fed's dot plot, which reflects' expectations for the federal funds rate in the medium and long term, along with the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) Summary of Economic Projections (SEP). 👉Analysts at Fitch estimate that the tariff shock could “increase inflationary pressure by one percentage point” in the near term. This scenario would likely prevent Fed officials from cutting interest rates before the final quarter of the year. However, the CME FedWatch tool still indicates that the Fed may implement a rate cut in its June meeting. 👉Meanwhile, the Bank of England (BoE) is expected to maintain its interest rate at 4.5%, with a voting split of 7-2. BoE Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) members Catherine Mann and Swati Dhingra are likely to support a rate cut, while the other seven policymakers are expected to vote to keep rates unchanged. Investors will also closely monitor comments from BoE Governor Andrew Bailey regarding the UK’s economic outlook, particularly in light of US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies. Trading GBPUSD | Judas Swing Strategy 18/03/2025Last week, the Judas Swing strategy only gave us 2 setups on FX:AUDUSD , but both hit their targets, locking in a solid 4% gain! Proof that patience and discipline always win in the long run. After these results, we were eager to see how the strategy would perform this week. And sure enough, a setup emerged on FX:GBPUSD on Tuesday! Let’s take you through how this trade played out On Monday, we scanned our usual currency pairs ( FX:GBPUSD , FX:AUDUSD , FX:EURUSD , OANDA:NZDUSD ) for potential setups, but none met our criteria so we stayed on the sidelines. Then came Tuesday, and a promising setup started taking shape on $GBPUSD. That got us excited and we were eager to see how this trade would unfold! After liquidity was swept from the lows of our range, our focus shifted to potential buying opportunities. To confirm our bias, we needed to see a break of structure to the upside before committing to the trade. Twenty-five minutes later, we got a break of structure to the upside, confirming our bias. This move left behind a Fair Value Gap (FVG), signaling an inefficiency in pricing. We now anticipate a retracement to fill this imbalance once that happens, we'll be ready to enter the trade The next five minute candle entered and closed in the imbalance which meant we could execute our trade using 1% of our trading account and aiming for a 2% return, ensuring our winners outweigh our losers. With this strategy maintaining a win rate of around 50%, sticking to it consistently positions us for long-term profitability After executing the trade, we faced a deep drawdown, a moment where many traders who over-leverage might panic as price edged closer to the stop loss. But we remained unfazed. Why? Because we only risked what we could afford to lose, staying disciplined and accepting whatever outcome the trade would bring—win or lose. Upon checking the trade once again, we noticed price had turned around and begun moving in our intended direction which was good to see but the objective had not been met so we had to be patient and wait for the final outcome of the trade After 3 hours and 15 minutes, our FX:GBPUSD trade finally hit take profit, securing a 2% gain so far this week, all from a well-managed 1% risk

GBPUSD INTRADAY ahead of BoE rate decision.The GBPUSD currency pair price action sentiment appears bullish, supported by the prevailing uptrend. The recent intraday price action appears to be a sideways consolidation towards the previous resistance. The key trading level is at 1.2930 level, the previous consolidation price range. A corrective pullback from the current levels and a bullish bounce back from the 1.2930 level could target the upside resistance at 1.2994 followed by the 1.3056 and 1.3123 levels over the longer timeframe. GBPUSD: Day 3 breakout traders long in the market!Hello traders and welcome back to my profile, as always don't forget to hit the like button and comment if you enjoy this analysis, and feel free to share your own thoughts! Trade setup, don't chase movement, neither don't guess what the market is going to do next. I know it looks like I'm trying to predict a move, but actually I'm just showing what setup I'm looking for in order to partecipate in the market, eventually it's going to move in my direction. GBPUSD is currently on my watchlist, day 3 long in the market can be a strong signal of reversal (when setup properly) and I can see a potential weekly pump and dump setting up for today (waiting for news to be released), or it can be a move that can be completed on tomorrow, eventually the market will close as first red day at the end of the day. Let's go a little bit deeper: Monday, opening range of the week was a strong pumping day, clean, clear, which triggered long breakout traders in the market and closed in breakout above the previous weekly level, other time frame traders are involved and the market may be in play! Tuesday, initial balance, the market slightly expanded the range higher and the end of the day it closed in breakout triggering breakout long for the second time, decreasing, however, the momentum of this move. Wednesday, the market stayed inside the previous daily range, barely touching the weekly high and the end of the day, which I consider a day 3 long traders triggered up high. Now, to me, this scenario look pretty much a 2 days of consolidation up high into the weekly high after Monday pumping day, and I would be interested in shorting a potential dump, targeting the weekly low. Thesis: - Short, is my main thesis, going to complete the weekly pump and dump, it can setup today or tomorrow, and what I will be looking for is an intraday pump and dump blowing off during NY session. - Long, not really interested today, but however, I cannot know if the market will proceed to go higher, because overall, we can see a strong bullish trend from January 2025 and I wouldn't expect the market dropping down till that level where such a huge move started.
