XAUUSD Last Friday, the gold market took a sharp turn for the worse. After the opening, it started a unilateral downward trend, which was unstoppable all the way and broke through multiple previous support levels. During the European and American trading sessions, the price temporarily stabilized around 3255 and started a correction, eventually closing at 3274, with a single-day drop of 72 points. The daily line closed with a large negative line, showing the strength of the bears. Currently, the bearish trend dominates the market. The previous support level has turned into potential pressure. The short-term moving average is crossing downward and the Bollinger Band is opening downward, both suggesting that the bearish momentum is strong. The upper 3295-3290 line constitutes strong pressure. If the lower 3268 is lost, the price may further drop to 3255. But Russia launched its largest airstrike since the beginning of the conflict on Sunday, which could lead to a higher open. But don't chase high prices blindly.

GOLD Next week, global central bank talks + non-agricultural data will dominate the market

The market may focus on tariffs again. U.S. Treasury Secretary Benson said on Friday that "reciprocal tariffs" may be re-imposed on 20 countries, or if we believe that the other party is negotiating in good faith, the tariffs of these countries may remain at 10%.
Next week, the market will usher in a group meeting of major central bank governors around the world (Federal Reserve Chairman Powell, European Central Bank President Lagarde, Bank of England Governor Bailey, Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda, and Bank of Korea Governor Lee Chang-yong). The market will also usher in non-agricultural data, and Powell's remarks on whether to resign may ignite the market next week. Gold prices may face increased volatility next week.

GOLD This week, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell testified in Congress and once again maintained a patient attitude, which aroused Trump's dissatisfaction and made Trump consider announcing Powell's successor in advance. Trump said on Friday morning, "I hope that Federal Reserve Chairman Powell will resign. I will not appoint someone who wants to maintain the current interest rate. I will appoint someone who wants to cut interest rates as the chairman of the Federal Reserve." Related news may gradually unfold next week, causing market concerns and affecting the trend of gold prices.
