Grupa Azoty SA engages in the production of fertilizers and chemicals. It operates through the following segments: Agro Fertilizers, Plastics, Chemicals, Energy, and Other Activities. The Agro Fertilizers segment refers to the nitrogen fertilizers, compound fertilizers, ammonia, technical-grade and concentrated nitric acid, and industrial gases. The Plastics segment offers engineering plastics, modified plastics, caprolactam, and plastic products. The Chemicals segment manufactures and markets melamine, titanium white, iron sulfate, and solutions based on urea and ammonia. The Energy segment is composed of the generation of energy utilities. The Other Activities segment includes the remaining activities such as laboratory services, catalysts production, property rental, and other activities not allocated in other segments. The company was founded in 1927 and is headquartered in Tarnow, Poland.
