KRKA dd is a generic pharmaceutical company, which engages in the development, production, marketing, and sale of human and animal health products. It operates through the following geographical segments: European Union, South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe, and Other. The European Union segment includes all countries of the European Union. The South-Eastern Europe segment consists of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Albania. The Eastern Europe segment comprises of the Russian Federation and other former Soviet Union countries, excluding the Baltic countries. The company was founded by Boris Andrijanic in 1954 and is headquartered in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
