It operates through the following segments: Commercial and International Banking, Retail Banking, Treasury, Fund Management, and Institutional Banking, Investment Management, and Others. The Commercial and International Banking segment includes banking services and investment products to corporate customers. The Retail Banking segment offers banking services and investment products to individual customers. The Treasury, Fund Management and Institutional Banking segment comprises liquidity management, correspondent banking, clearing, Murabaha investments, and exchange of deposits with banks and other financial institutions. The Investment Management segment is involved in investing in associates. The Others segment covers marketing and managing properties, rental services, maintenance services, legal services, and mobile banking services. The company was founded on May 13, 1973 and is headquartered in Kuwait City.
