Fokus Bank offers banking solutions and financial services to its customers. Danske Bank A/S, the biggest bank in Denmark and one of the biggest banks in Scandinavia, owned Fokus Bank ASA as a subsidiary. Over 200,000 individual and commercial customers were served by its approximately 40 branches spread throughout Norway. The merger of seven regional banks in Norway resulted in the formation of the Fokus Bank between 1987 and 1990. It was acquired by Danske Bank in 1999 and thereafter joined the Danske Bank Group. Danske Bank replaced Fokus Bank as the company's name in November 2012.
