Wasco Bhd. is an investment holding company, which engages in the provision of management services to its subsidiaries. It operates through the following segments: Energy Services, Bioenergy Services, Trading, and Others. The Energy Services segment is involved in pipe coating, pipe manufacturing for the oil and gas industry, building and operating offshore/onshore field development facilities and the provision of specialized equipment and services to the power generation, oleochemical, and petrochemical industries. The Bioenergy Services segment supplies and manufactures specialized equipment for biomass power plants, such as industrial fans, boilers and turbines that run primarily on biomass fuels. The Trading segment trades and distributes building materials and the manufacturing and trading of industrial pipes for the construction industry. The Others segment refers to all other units within the group that do not constitute a separately reportable segment. The company was founded on October 9, 1999 and is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
