SPYSPXNVDAAAPL When I close my position, the stock keeps moving in the direction I predicted. But when I hold my position, the stock reverses, and I end up losing money. Is this something you're also experiencing? I gave this a lot of thought and realized that once we hold positions too long, we start developing greed, along with other emotions such as hope, excitement, and anxiety. This mix of emotions hijacks the brain, which prevents you from pressing the sell button. Your mind becomes completely controlled by those feelings. Therefore, always stick to your rules and avoid holding too long in hopes of getting a huge return. One more tip I want to share: whenever you feel emotions starting to influence your trading, stand up and repeat this phrase in your mind: "CLOSE THIS POSITION." When you repeat something in your mind, your brain starts to believe it, and it will act accordingly. Lastly, remember that you can always re-enter a trade, but you should always book your profit on time. Don’t regret exiting too early—locking in gains early never goes out of style long-term. Sharing this as I experienced it many times during my trading career. Comments?
