Hertz is still on the edge of bankruptcy, we need to wait to understand the future of Hertz
AVIS seems that will be able to pass through the crisis:
That $750 million borrowed on top of the $1.6 billion in cash Avis had leading into the crisis, giving it leeway to survive the year even at a projected burn rate of $200 million a month.

Avis Budget Group looks interesting Entry level $35.25 = Target price $44.00 = Stop loss $34.00
Levels of Interest = $36.75 which is considerable resistance.
Has made a very bullish reversal from, the lows and speculation is gathering steam that the company could be taken private which would result in a considerable upside target for the stock. Very speculative but bullish technicals help build the case for a long trade.

Zacks downgrade before earningsZacks earning filter has moved Avis from a 1 to a 3 (from a strong buy to a hold) in 2 days, plus 75% of earnings listed today that HAVE beat earnings estimates are down anyway....some significantly. I would strongly advise staying away from earnings this week (IBD alerted that very message this morning ) IF I WAS ABLE TO GIVE FINANCIAL ADVICE. I'm selling and adding to my inversed ETF positions :)
I am not a licensed financial adviser and this is not financial advice.
Will Avis give us a repeat earnings performance on Monday?
This setup looks like the last earnings setup. Given the current price, the resistance line being about the same as the previous earnings rise, the trend line (only broken by a news event), and an expected surprise by Zacks (Zacks Rating of1); a repeat scenario appears likely on Monday in spite of the current downtrend. Keep in mind this earnings season hasn't been very exciting so far....nevertheless!
Long Avis for 10-20% continuationAvis is having a good 2019, rallying off a triple-bottom near $21 to current levels around $34 over the last four months. We've been tracking the stock since it broke higher through trend channel resistance back in February. The rally from the low appears to be impulsive, with an extended Wave 3 on surging momentum. The stock is now trading sideways in what we're counting as Wave 4 of larger degree Wave 3. Look for the prior rising trend channel to act as support as CAR resumes the short-term uptrend. Initiating a long position at market and looking for an immediate 10-20% move higher before further consolidation.
CAR Long Bullish divergence with the Double Ballsack PatternCar looking for reversal at a previous lowpoint with Bullish Divergence and showing a Double Ballsack Pattern. Technical indicators looking great on the 4H, and 1D. Enter if price action is upward & cut if it dips below support (YELLOW BOX). Looking to begin scaling out around the GREEN BOX if trade is entered.
