The Treasury segment portfolio is composed of investments in Central and State Government securities, debt instruments of Banks, FIs, Insurance companies, PSUs and corporates, certificate of deposits, equity shares, mutual funds, security receipts, as well as forward contracts, derivatives and foreign exchange operations on proprietary account and for customers, including trading in these instruments, and also borrowing and lending operations. The Corporate and Wholesale Banking segment is based on RBI definition and comprises of credit facilities and other banking services provided to corporate and other clients. The Retail Banking segment includes lending and other banking services to individuals and small business customers, other than corporate and wholesale banking customers. The Other Banking Operations segments deals with items not included above, such as para-banking activities like bancassurance, third party product distribution, demat services and other banking transactions, and also includes items like deposits in RIDF and MSME Funds.
