CMG trade ideas
Chipotle (CMG) earnings preview: bright times ahead?Investors are excited about the new CEO's (Brian Niccol) ability to reinvigorate the brand. Niccol and the overhauled executive team are saying all the right things to drive guest traffic in the near term (most notably, digital order pickup shelves, in-app delivery and catering functionality, and an afternoon taco/drink value platform), while shoring up the expense structure (a corporate reorganization that would eliminate multiple layers of corporate expenses and close 55-65 underperforming stores).
The Chipotle brand could go a long way under Niccol's leadership, given several new products in the pipeline (quesadillas, nachos, avocado tostadas, chocolate milkshakes) that should stimulate consumer curiosity without adding undue operational complexity. Other encouraging developments are the introduction of a rewards program, along with new ingredients, sauces, and portion sizes, as well as the possibility of technology-infused layouts.

Sell your CMG, risk against higher high on weeklyCMG: we still in downtrend on weekly. 3 part bull div on daily is probably related to weekly trying to make a higher high (it hasnt yet). This could be a sell opportunity with stop if we break higher high. The target would be the gap fill and weekly volume profile node. Because its a short, on a daily-weekly timescale, and the r:r isnt great, this is not a perfect trade.
Bullish Breakout - DailyPlay for Wednesday June 6th, 2018The bullish DailyPlay we chose for Wednesday, June 6th is Chipotle (CMG). CMG is part of the Consumer Discretionary Sector (XLY). Over the last month, XLY has experienced a 7.99% move higher and its 1m/6m trend has turned bullish on 5/4 and recently broke above its $107 resistance level which now becomes support.
Chipotle's 1m and 6m trends turned bullish on 4/16 and recently broke above its $450 resistance level which becomes support. With a technical score of 10 (out of 10), CMG is a strong bullish stock that will likely continue higher.

As a stop loss, if CMG was to trade below $450 for multiple days, this would invalidate our analysis and suggest getting out of the trade.
