Darling, its a tallow party.Darling Ingredients Inc. (NYSE: DAR)
Why It Could Benefit Most From the Ban/Restrictions of the use of Seed Oils in the food supply:
Core Competency in Animal Fats: Darling specializes in rendering animal by-products, including beef tallow, which would see a direct surge in demand as a seed oil substitute in foods and sauces. Their existing infrastructure is already optimized for producing and distributing tallow at scale.
Market Positioning:
Darling is a leader in the animal fat market, with a global network of rendering facilities. A ban on seed oils would align perfectly with their strengths, as they don’t rely heavily on seed oil production compared to ADM or Bunge.
Diversified Applications:
Beyond food, Darling supplies tallow for biofuels and industrial uses, but they could easily pivot more capacity to food-grade tallow if demand spikes. Their recent focus on sustainability (e.g., through Diamond Green Diesel, a renewable diesel joint venture) shows adaptability to regulatory shifts.
Revenue Impact:
In 2023, Darling’s Feed Ingredients segment (which includes tallow) accounted for a significant portion of its $6.8 billion revenue. A seed oil ban could disproportionately boost this segment, potentially increasing margins as tallow prices rise.
DAR pendulum pick to $57?After the awesome-ness of the INSP idea, this past Sunday I asked for 4 more tickers with setups like that one. For reference, the tickers I got were CDW, SPLB, DAR and DT. I also think there's something with POET.
I haven't done readings on all, but did on DAR as it was one indicated as a priority, but didn't get around to the idea yet. The reading was bullish, but a little strange in that it was calling for a daytrade. I'm really not sure why, but will have to watch and see what happens... But it suggested a move up over 5% and gave the number 57. I do believe this is price, and if it's a move like the INSP idea, it'll hit without a problem. Of course, I notice now that it's up 14%, and it's kinda like, daaang. I gotta get my idea out!
I had asked when to buy it and got a date of the 22nd, so that obviously didn't work. I also have a date of Sept. 17th.
I guess I better finish the work on the others so I can post them and see what happens!
Darling Ingredients more upside comingRecent analyst upgrades to 80+
Solid earnings resulted in a gap up and it recaptured the Covid lows AVWAP.
It is a strong buy anytime it touches the Covid-low Vwap just below which is now support.
It's eating through the most recent earnings AVWAP sellers and will have clear running room for the next leg up.
TOP US-Stocks: Buy-Signal DARDarling Ingredients - a stock on our watchlist - just moved through a well defined pivot point and triggered a buy signal. We have added DAR to our model portfolio.
DAR fulfills all requirements as defined in Minervini's Trend-Template and shows stable fundamentals. DAR is coming out of a long consolidation phase and a sound volatility contraction pattern. The entry at 78.7 is a low risk entry, the SL can be set just under the latest base at 72.7 (7.5% risk)
Flat on Darling Ingredients. DARWe are not in the business of getting every prediction right, no one ever does and that is not the aim of the game. The Fibonacci targets are highlighted in purple with invalidation in red. Confirmation level, where relevant, is a pink dotted, finite line. Fibonacci goals, it is prudent to suggest, are nothing more than mere fractally evident and therefore statistically likely levels that the market will go to. Having said that, the market will always do what it wants and always has a mind of its own. Therefore, none of this is financial advice, so do your own research and rely only on your own analysis. Trading is a true one man sport. Good luck out there and stay safe.
$DAR nice bounce on watch for breakout"Own Tennis Balls Not Eggs"
Nice bounce back after -10% a week as sellers rejected another breakout attempt.
However buyers defended the 10wkMA with a nice bounce and closing just at the resistance zone.
Keep on watch for a blue sky breakout, I think we get one soon based on the tight range and good buy volume (black arrows).
Will remain bullish so long as price holds the 10wkMA
Cheers
