Only bev company on my radar
- bought a 6 pack of the cola flavor y day in anticipation of some px action (like we have today) and to have first-hand conviction if/when
- this is a one of a kind. while they operate in the ostensibly hyper-competitive soda/ cola category, they are not fake flavoring, not dying the liquid and MOST IMPORTANTLY are using stevia and NOT ____ose (fake sugars that f up your gut IYKYK).
- product tastes great. i think they could work on the can being more exciting (i remember when CELH had this issue 10+ yrs ago).
- but they're growing from 800 walmarts to over 2k this year. they're launching some great new spring/summer flavors. variety packs will drive sampling.
- this is not a size up and YOLO stock just bc they've got some growing pains in the 1H of this year, still burn a bit of cash (but have 30 mm of net cash) on the balance sheet.
- i think Amy (the CEO) sounds bright. so willing to give her a chance in my book.
- this is a 1% position and i won't be trading it around. y'day i made some aggressive moves, deployed cash. this AM i went back to a ton of cash, preferring heavy core positions NXT > OBTC > UBER > TSM... but i'm open to incubating stuff. like NICE, like XYZ, like BLDE. y'day (but now closed entirely after the move) was BTDR.
- reason i write all this is to say, put it on your watchlist. this is a potential breakout situation as retailers carve out MAHA (make america healthy again) stands and Zevia is well-positioned to keep gaining share in shelf, consideration and consumption.
- at sub 80 mm enterprise value (when you take out net cash), it's almost amazing to me someone doesn't just outright buy this out. i usually don't use that as a reason to own a stock, but i think all else equal, given the momentum at WMT and others and what i believe is a breakthru flavor w stevia (a v hard to work with ingredient for bev companies - i know first hand - and get right)... there's a floor on this, probably in the high $1's. and the upside is... well... look at $celh.
whatchu think anon? grab one when you're out and LMK what you think!

Espresso shot: ZeviaZevia is like an espreso shot..could be an fast opportunity.
(+) Last quarterly wasnt impressive, but better margin and
(+) expansion from 800 to 4200 walmart stores is a good story. (5-fold).
(+) Also expansion into Aldi markets are mentioned.
(+) small insider buying
(-) negative eps
(-) outstanding shares are increasing
(-) we dont know if the crowd likes the product ??
Could be an great entry point and a start of a great story, but more riskier here.
$ZVIA: Refreshing Competition Zevia ($ZVIA) is a zero-calorie, zero-sugar beverage company. They have a diverse portfolio offering energy drinks, mixers, soda, and plenty more.
The general portfolio offers a new perspective on the beverage industry. Zevia has been able to accomplish a happy medium for consumers providing a sweet and rich flavor without the sugar content. The company just had its IPO back in the summer of 2021. Investors had mixed feelings about the Q3 earnings. First and foremost, is the debt the company currently has. The company has been trying to clearly find new bank investors over the past couple of months.
Despite this issue, it's important to highlight the success the company has had: #1 selling soft drink beverage brand on Amazon in 2021, entered in the warehouse club channel, and 30% of consumer demand are new to the brand.
Refreshing Competition
Coke-Cola ($KO), Pepsi ($PEP), and Monster ($MNST) have been the market players for quite a long time. If Zevia is able to continue to find new investors, expand the there portfolio, and move more products to brick-in-mortar they might have a chance to be a viable competition.
ZVIA , Would love to hear your opinions on Zevia soda..First of all , Zevia is a stevia sweetened soda. A decent variety of flavors are available. Also is, naturally flavored, calorie free and some of the flavors , such as "cola" are caffeinated but most are not .
Now, a bit about my personal diet habits . I like to practice intermittent fasting , and a keto based diet, with a cheat weekend allowed every 3 weeks :) . I'm pretty active , but as I have gotten a bit older ( particularly noticing that after I turned 30 ) , I have developed an new amazing belly growing skillset lol !
To combat this, I have personally found that, for me, intermittent fasting is great and, if paired that with a ketogenic diet (so your body switches it's fuel source to fats) , your actually almost not hungry between meals .
I started drinking Zevia about a year ago . It really suits my diet style and the diet style is increasing in popularity .
Not to mention, I'm sure that in general it is a great alternative to be considered by many others instead of regular pop .
It's a pretty new product though and I'm curious if I am a minority here . Also , it's a new IPO and a bit difficult to see a current institution ownership % .
So I would love to hear some feedback on this .
I would love to hear some feedback .
Have you personally tired Zevia ?
Do you like the product ?
Have you recommended it to others ?
Have you made it a regular addition to your shopping list ?
Thanks in advance .
