It operates through the following segments: Nordic Marketplaces, News Media, Financial Services, Growth, Other / Headquarters, Adevinta and Eliminations. The Nordic Marketplaces segment comprises online classified operations in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The News Media segment comprises news operations in Norway and Sweden. The Financial Services segment consists of a portfolio of digital growth companies in the personal finance space, mainly in Norway and Sweden. The Growth segment consists of a portfolio of digital growth companies, mainly in Norway and Sweden, and distribution operations in Norway. The Other / Headquarters comprises operations not included in the other reported operating segments, centralized functions including Product and Technology. The Adevinta segment comprises online classifieds operations outside the Nordic countries. The Eliminations segment comprises intersegment sales. Transactions between operating segments are conducted on normal commercial terms. The company was founded by Christian Michael Schibsted in 1839 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
