LBR1! What I find hilarious is that this chart only goes back to Sept. 2022... and leaves off the price spikes and crashes during the lockdowns and post-CvD. The previous chart of Lumber Futures (LBS1!) is gone. Is someone pulling some strings so that the past price action can't be easily seen? And how would that benefit them? Remember, folks... the peak was almost $1800/1000 and are we seeing this demand? No, today it's $527 and what we will likely see is the price continue to fall as we are heading toward 8 months of housing-on-market supply. Prices are starting to drop for homes, commercial real estate is in a pickle... So, what does the housing market look like in the future? Recessionary. -- Be smart out there, folks. Don't be fooled by the stock market. Pay off debt and build up your rainy-day fund. 2024 is going to be brutal either with Recession or Inflation (depending on what the Fed does). Hold fast.
