During the big short in October 2008 the spread exploded to nearly 700 euro at its peak. After 4 days, the spread traded at 250 euro and after a year at 20 euro. VOW 3 is the most liquid stock. On 8 March the spread started to increase . Tighter liquidity is one of the reasons why the spread increased as interest in EV is growing fast. VWAGY - $80 I will be honest, I lost my patience waiting for this pop and locked in 20% gains around $25 instead of 100%. Still think there is a chance to hit $60-90 if momentum continues unless we get a classic Eiffel Tower set up. I am not playing it as there are better set ups for me to play. Recent VWAGY news and aggressive pursuit of EV market share only added to the technical set up that told us back in January it was a runner. Didn't even need a catalyst to make it run but seems like it sped up the process. Whoever held on to this rocket ship - congrats. If you a paper hands like me congrats anyways as this was a "not possible" to loose trade. A lot of times you get into something and it dips before it takes off, not this one. Tape was clean and didn't do any fake out moves, didnt have any bull traps even during March sell off.

Goes up slowly for long time, then suddenly falls in a very steep angle. Beware: Probably with this stock the volumes doesn't really reflect in the price action. We have noticed recently some huge volumes but no real movement in price. Overall, even if we might notice a retreat, the price has possibly entered in a "long" direction cycle again. The target is the top red line. Under the actual price, the green line shows the potential realistic uptrend, therefore, the probable best place to enter from for a long direction investment. Is is a strong line, so if it breaks, probably people holding losing positions could use the blue line as an exit point.

Volkswagen takes a breath after recent surgeToday I sold my shares in Volkswagen AG XETR:VOW3 after the last couple of weeks the share price surged. The share price surged on news that the company plans to build 6 battery factories by 2030 to secure battery demand for the ambitious EV plans that the company has. For now, I think the share price has reached a top around the resistance level of 260, which is the all-time high before the diesel gate took over. The share price could correct to the support level of 190, but I expect it to set a bottom at a higher level before breaking the 260 resistance level. Fundamentally, I think diesel gate was one of the best things to happen for VW. After diesel gate VW is the first major car producer which shifted focus on EV production. This will really be a benefit for VW in the coming years ans the company can gain market share from other conventional car producers which are slower in the adoption of EV. To be clear, my strategy is neutral at the moment because of the overbought price condition. For the long term I consider VW as clear buy. I plan to buy the dip in the next few weeks/months.

Volkswagen stock rose. The world's second largest automaker by sales outlined a significant new EV roadmap Monday, focusing on batteries and charging technology. By 2030, the German auto giant will set up six "gigafactories" for battery cells in Europe, relying on both partnerships and the expansion of in-house production. Volkswagen also will hike investment in Sweden's Northvolt, its leading supplier of battery cells, including a $14 billion order over the next decade. The plants will have a combined production capacity of 240 gigawatt hours per year, VW said. Volkswagen has partnered with solid-state battery maker QuantumScape (QS) for nearly a decade. In 2018, the companies set up a joint venture to make solid-state batteries and VW now owns a stake in the California-based company. Last November, VW hiked its planned investment on digital and EV technologies to 73 billion euros ($86 billion) over the next five years, up from 60 billion euros. On Monday, Volkswagen also announced plans for a vast expansion in EV charging infrastructure. By 2025, it sees 18,000 public fast-charging points in Europe, a fivefold expansion vs. today.In addition, Volkswagen will deploy fast-charging points at gas stations run by Great Britain's BP, Spain's Iberdrola and Italy's Enel. It's also expanding public fast-charging networks in the U.S. and China.
