It operates through Baran International and Baran Israel segments. The Baran International segment engages in projects abroad in the fields of water and agriculture, communications infrastructure, and security (HLS). The Baran Israel segment engages in providing engineering, management, and execution services as part of projects in Israel in the fields of construction and civil infrastructure and in the fields of industry, which include the chemical industries, biotechnology, food, water, ecology and renewable energy, transportation infrastructure, medical infrastructure, public buildings, and infrastructure. The company was founded by Meir Dor, Isaac Friedman, Aviel Raviv, and Israel Gotman in 1979 and is headquartered in Beit Dagan, Israel.
