The fund provides an actively managed exposure to the digital currency bitcoin. The fund will purchase bitcoin from Bitcoin Sources such as bitcoin exchanges and OTC counterparties that are reputable, stable and in compliance with AML Regulations. These Bitcoin Sources can include Gemini, Genesis Global Trading, Inc., Tagomi, Coinbase Pro and OTC counterparties that are regulated as broker-dealers by the US SEC. The Manager will conduct due diligence by researching on executive officers, significant shareholders, and the regulatory regime of these sources. Once the Sub-Custodian receives the bitcoin on behalf of the fund, it will immediately place it in cold storage. The funds NAV is based on MVIS CryptoCompare Bitcoin Benchmark Rate Index. The index provides prices of bitcoin in USD, based on one-hour median weighted prices. It uses five different crypto exchanges that undergoes semi-annual reviews. The fund will not hedge any USD currency exposure back to CAD.
