The fund is the first US dollar currency in Canada. The fund goes participates in the upward performance of USD by investing mainly in cash and cash equivalents denominated in US dollar, with maturities of 90 days or less. When USD appreciates relative to the CAD, the value of the fund is expected to increase. DLR is a money market fund and may only invest in (i) cash, (ii) cash equivalents, (iii) an evidence of indebtedness that has a remaining term to maturity of 365 days or less and a designated rating, (iv) a floating rate evidence of indebtedness, or (v) securities issued by one or more qualifying money market funds.
