The fund aims to provide exposure to the largest banking companies in the developed European countries, which includes major and regional banks. It tracks an index representing the largest 20 banks in the developed European region, selected via market-cap and weighted equally. The fund will employ a sampling strategy, where it may not hold all the securities that comprise the index and instead invest in securities with similar characteristics to the index constituents. To provide additional value and minimize volatility, the fund employs a covered call options strategy on up to 33% of its portfolio. Although the fund primarily invests in common stocks, it can also hold equity-related securities including, but not limited to, convertible debt, income trust units, single issuer equity options, preferred shares and warrants, as well as cash and cash equivalents. The index rebalances on a quarterly basis in February, May, August and November.
