Primary advisor
CI Investments, Inc.
The fund seeks stable cash distributions and capital appreciation by actively selecting large-cap health care companies listed on a North American stock exchange. It specifically includes firms involved in biotechnology research, drugs, and pharmaceuticals as well as health care facilities and services. The fund holds a concentrated portfolio of at least 20 companies selected by market-cap, however, adjustments can be made based on the fund adviser’s view on the firms’ liquidity and their related call options. Holdings are typically equal-weighted, but due to its active approach, weightings may deviate significantly. In an effort to generate additional income and lower the overall volatility, the fund employs a covered call option strategy on approx. 25% of the portfolio. Rebalancing usually occurs quarterly, subject to fund adviser’s discretion. Prior to April 22, 2021, the fund was named CI First Asset Health Care Giants Covered Call ETF.
